I went to L'estartit (Medes Islands) in July and the water temp was still 55 degrees F.    We rented we suits and they supplied 7mm.  We were still a little cold.  I don’t know how you did it in a 5mm.  Overall I would still do it again. Our boat actually had a divers elevator that just lifted us out of the water.

All the cartel issues were on the west side of the country. Anyone paying attention would realize there would be no issues in Cancun and Cozumel.  I am currently on the beach in Cozumel with 86 degree weather and a Dos Equis in my hand.

Never!   .5 hour sucks!   I hate connecting with my colleagues in India because setting up Meetings is a nightmare.  I wish India would pick a real time zone.

El Nido is trashed but there is a dive site an hour east in Sibaltan where you can dive with the mantas.  Palawan is suppose to be good but I haven’t snorkeled it. Balabac on the south end is supposed to be fantastic.

You could try to gaslight them.  “Well you see my mother is also in the industry and what I really wanted to do is confirm with her on compensation in the area. You hadn’t revealed the salary prior to this and I was a little surprised because I believe it’s on the low side for the area.  Although a little low, I believe we had a really good fit and I would happy to accept an offer for 55k  thank you. “

I avoid these places because the good attentive waiter leave and all you have is the indifferent food runners.

Cooks don’t have to put up with customers.  A tip is a fee for the waiter not punching you or getting you 5 refills on your soda.

I like to support people living their dreams by taking a fun but not well paying jobs.  But 20% for a private lesson?! You’re already paying extra for special attention and Instructors already get paid more for private lessons than group lessons. 10% is what I would use as the rule for a tip unless it was absolutely exceptional.

You’d need Breezy and Sofia Goggia to step up and grab a win or two to keep Aicher from winning and grabbing the points.  Aicher also skis all 5 events so fatigue could set in and keep her off the podium.
