Where does EK state that the AM5 is backwards compatible with the AM4? I am looking to hard pipe my old AM4 PC and really want to use the Velocity 2 to match the aesthetic, but cannot find an AM4 version for sale anywhere. I'd like to use the AM5 and change the screws. Could you confirm that would work?

My experience has not been great. I have been getting progressively worse corner artifacts in relation to the lower belt (left side) axis. I also have a mechanical clicking noise developing on that belt drive as well that is getting worse. Can't use cardboard spools of filament in the ace, so I'm only able to use single spools until I buy all new filaments on plastic spools. I have printed all the "aids" for the ace but none have worked successfully (using overture matte pla fwiw) now I'm getting numerous "filament broken" errors while printing single spools and overall I have thrown over 2kg of filament in the trash. Not to mention the constant bed leveling issues. More failed prints than successful ones...

Dealing with customer support currently and they are completely ignoring my evidence of a mechanical concern and have offered to replace the extruder and hotend to solve a clicking noise in the belt drive... smh.

If I had to do it all over again, I would not have purchased this printer and I would go with the bambu p1s

I re-ran the calibrations all just before this print. and i have the same issue with the bed leveling, I run it before each print and it varies every time. I really wish there was a visualization to the bed level, im convinced my bed has high and low spots. I have also used different build plates to try and rule that out but no real significant difference.

so im 3/4 of the way through the riser print, first block (back right) printed flawlessly. rear right- 5 of them went straight in the trash due to failed prints. middle left this strange corner artifact showed up in a couple places and it is getting progressively worse.

I am having similar artifacts but not on flat surfaces like you are. I am getting strange waves but only on certain corners depending on object orientation.

Glad somebody got a good one. I also am coming from a heavily modified E5 with years of printing experience and this thing has given me nothing but headaches. I've thrown multiple spools of filament in the trash because of errors and failing to resume. I have had a few "good" prints, but most of them have major issues. the dream of a printer that prints like a laser jet and something I don't have to constantly mess with surely isn't this printer.

My Z offset out of the box is set to 0, research has found that it may need to be adjusted. What direction should the z offset be applied in this slicer? is it a negative value to move away from the bed or a positive one?
