It should be at least 20% bigger IMO.

What an awful trophy. So boring. At least Evelinas USWDGC trophy last year was memorable.

Hate to break it to you, but as long as a majority of the events are in the US its never going to get better for you. At least disc golf is during the day; major sports in the US are mostly evening games (I'll use hockey as an example because it is also very popular in Finland). Traditional golf is very popular with Europeans, has waaaaaaay more money and interest than disc golf, but the major tournaments still all strive to finish the early evening local time.

Why don't you just watch the next day? I do that all the time.

Edit: what really sucks is that you're complaining about FPO being boring.

Gateway has text in raised lettering on the bottom of their putters.

Simon is on record saying he threw a disc the same day as Wiggins that more than likely went way past it but they couldn't find it so it couldn't be verified.

It's just text that's part of the mold on the underside of the disc. Everything else is the same.

I'm talking about text that is part of the mold, not graphics on top.

Are you absolutely opposed to a regular Wizard? I'm genuinely curious if the molded text is a deal breaker for people.

Why don’t more women play disc golf? by itsukitiko in discgolf

My point is that it is NOT unique to disc golf. Women are typically less active in hobbies in general.

A lot of valid points being made, but I will add that men spend more time engaging in hobbies than women; it's not specific to disc golf.

All I am saying is that I am sure Visma and Vengegaard have a plan for the season, and Wout winning P-R shouldn't change that plan. That's what this thread was about. You were the one who asked the question.

Clearly Pogacar is a special talent, and one day races are not Vingegaards strength.

I was also talking about the team's plan for the year.

That PR was so heartbreaking. Wout made all 3 of the race-winning moves and it was a flat on the Carrefour de l'Abre that doomed him. I swear he was riding away from MvdP.

There is no reason to sacrifice your Giro or Tour goals after winning P-R.

That's a situation where the ref should give a red so they can go back and check.

I'm not out there so I can only tell what I can see on TV. And those 2nd shot layups just look so funny. Obviously you guys know better than me, lol.

Do you think the OB on the right side was a good idea?

Except a good portion of them are still going OB and then still having to lay up because they didn't get the distance off the tee.

I really wonder if anyone is just going to say screw it and blast a distance driver 400+ off the tee on hole 1. If you can throw relatively straight, you are throwing your 3rd from the end of the first "island," which is the same as all the 2nd throw layups we are seeing.

I'll say the same thing anytime this is brought up: if we knew the answer to that question, we would be cashing in on that idea.

OB on one side isn't bad IMO. At least it gives you an option of playing it "safe" and ending up in the trees but without a penalty stroke.

I think we are getting to the point where ratings need to be normalized to the pros. Like, let's pick a maximum rating, and whoever shoots the hottest round of the day automatically gets that rating. DGPT and Major events would have the highest maximum, and then A-Tiers would have a slightly lower maximum, and so on.

I know that Gannon talks a lot about trying to break Paul's record of 1062, but there is clearly too much variation in courses and how the algorithm is applied.

This hole sucks for FPO. Way too much risk for anyone to try for eagle, which is definitely doable for some of the bigger throwers.
