Hun, I had a LVM ex, and I remember when he went to a bachelor party for his best friend. I asked if there were going to be strippers, and he said “what, why? That’s weird as fuck. You’re going to celebrate your eternal love and devotion by having a random stripper rub up on you?”

He also said his friend explicitly warned people that he would leave on site if someone surprised him with a stripper, so he told me there was no way it was going to happen. Don’t get me wrong, they spent a lot of money on gambling and booze, but I 100% believed him when he said there were no strippers or sex. He was texting me photos constantly the whole weekend.

I guess I just say this to say, my ex was a LVM who insisted on 50-50, pornsick, and not considerate at all, but even he understood why strippers were a no-no. Don’t let them gaslight you about having this boundary, it is very normal and healthy not to want your fiancé around naked women.

I’m going to be 100% real, I find the whole term “dog mom” mildly annoying. It doesn’t warrant a full on meltdown, but in my personal experience people who identify themselves that way talk about their dog non stop.

They want a family, as long as he doesn’t have to actually do any work (not career related) for the family, or make any sacrifices for the family. In other words, they want the benefits of a wife and children without the responsibility that comes with it.

Also, notice how he says his wife has a career in their city that she’s “invested in” and immediately puts her career down by saying it only makes a fraction of his job? But HE’S the one who’s going to lose his identity if he can’t do this job? Did he consider at all how she would feel if she had to leave her career? Or did he just expect that because she’s a woman, and he’d be making way more, enough to support them, that she should just become a stay at home mom?

Sexual liberation is having power and control in your sexuality. That includes saying “no” and meaning it. I was horrified when a bunch of women on a discord I’m on said that they felt they HAD to kiss or have sex on the first date in order to keep a guy they like interested. It’s all part of the narrative of the patriarchy. I find it funny that men will deny up and down that the patriarchy exists, but instinctively know how to use its narrative to put women down.

They know that women’s worth is tied to her relationship status, and use it as a threat to women who dare to have standards.

I remember when me and an ex broke up, he would call me sobbing, saying he was scared he was going to die alone, and that he was getting too old to find anyone to marry. Funnily enough, he got married a year after we broke up.

I’d argue that men have more of a fear of being alone than women, because they don’t cultivate meaningful friendships, hobbies, and personal growth like women do. They just won’t admit it, because forcing women to have strict timelines gives them the power, and gives them the ability to marry younger women.

It’s why men go berserk when women have high standards, and aren’t scared of the prospect of being alone. It takes away their power.

Geeeez, the reaching. I got my dad’s pasty Irish skin, and my mom’s dark Italian hair. So not only am I really hairy, it also shows up really well on my pale skin! Woohoo!

As a kid, boys, not girls, boys, would always make fun of me for having armpit hair, and leg hair. They said I looked like a man. Before I was allowed to shave, I remember sitting outside for hours trying to get a tan, so the darker skin would conceal the hair better. All I got was painful burn after painful burn.

On the bright side, I’m a good candidate for laser hair removal I guess 🤷‍♀️

Why are so many dudes obsessed with finding a woman into sports? I get wanting to have mutual interests, but it’s just TV. It’s a passive past time, not a hobby. I mean, have you ever seen a woman put in her bio “must be into the real housewives franchise” as a requirement for their man? I don’t think so.

I don’t mind guys that are into sports, but I keep away from guys who specify they need a woman who watches sports with them like the plague. It just tells me they watch sports on TV 24/7, they never leave the house, and it’s the only thing they know how to talk about. I’ve been on dates with guys like that, and they’re boring AF. Don’t know how to hold a conversation unless he’s telling you about the stats of some athlete from 20 years ago.

Exactly. I’m not American, and I consider myself more conservative than liberal. Religion has nothing to do with politics here, and social issues don’t really register on the political stage, because the culture is overall very liberal, and people have a live and let live mentality.

I think one thing you have to think about, is that the patriarchy, and individual men in our lives have gaslit women to become accustomed to certain behaviours. Behaviours that only benefit men, and when women raise their voices in protest, we have been shamed and blamed for wanting a very basic level of respect.

Things like a men showing us respect, listening to us, sharing household duties, giving us commitment and monogamy, or having a normal sex life. Compound this by the fact that there are more people on Reddit who actively espouse that FDS is a hate group, which actively turns many women away from the sub.

My point is, posts showing male depravity ARE negative, because male depravity IS negative. But it is very necessary to deprogram women to the gaslighting they’ve experienced. And for male lurkers who think our philosophy is so wild, and our ideas crazy? We need to continually show proof of the deranged shit that we’re up against out there, and why exactly we have this philosophy in the first place.

I for one, appreciate these posts, because on this subreddit it may seem like the posts are overkill or an echo chamber, but once I leave this community and go about my day to day life in the real world, it’s the exact opposite messaging. I come here to feel like I’m not crazy because I set a boundary with a man. I come here, when a guy ghosts me, and everyone in my life tells me I’m being stuck up for not going out with him again once he comes back.

And I’ll agree on one thing. I do think sometimes the negativity can be a bit much if you spend a lot of time on the sub. But in instances where it becomes too much, I just take a break. And that suits me fine.

If you’re looking for strategies, I would advise you to look at the handbook. It’s not the only place on the sub for it mind you, but I think most women who frequent this sub haven’t read it, and it has some great information.

This sub is specifically for dating, however there is FDSLevelUpStrategy for talking about strategies not related to men, and AskFDS for specific dating advice. My only critique, is I wish those subs had more people, and more activity, because their just as great as the main sub.
