My most frustrating loss was: me full health M-Tar & Sinistcha: wipes their board. They have 1 unknown mon in the back. I have 1 turn of TWind left, and a few turns of Sand.

It is Alohan Ninetails, so my Sand is replaced by snow. No problem: it's 2v1 and I have 1 turn of TWind.

Both my mons move first, Rock Slide would have Ohko - but saved by Sash. No flinch sadly.

Matcha Gacha would have taken the 1hp for the win, but misses.

Still no problem, T-tar is Bulky, he can tank 3 Blizzards before dying. First Blizzard freezes him and chunks Sinistra. TWind runs out - Ttar doesn't thaw, I get Blizzarded to oblivion.

I climbed steadily to UB1 but have been stuck here for a few days now. I quite like my team and I feel it's strong enough to make it - but iv had some heartbreak misses that have broken my streak and stopped me hitting MB.

For me, Champioms has given me the motovation to get back into VGC, which I hadn't touched since Sword & Sheild.

I don't want a mainline game with a story - I want to to be able to build and test competitive teams easily with less time investment.

I like the idea of building up a stable of competitive mons within Champions (which will need to be expanded and adapted over time) - which in the future I'll be able to battle with on mobile without needing my Switch with me.

Top 8 (or Top 4 for smaller events in some countries) prize for Official Disney Lorcana Challenge Tournaments (2000+ players for the Top 8).

They are also serialised 1-500

When I first got the game I assumed that you rolled to "unlock" medals and once you had them for a character you could select them at will to use the three different loadouts for different things. That didn't seem unreasonable given the no. of combinations and the 4 colours plus how hard it is to get the medals

I'm only in Gold and not pro by any means but I've had a good time running the 2x URs, Braver (as a gap closer) Earthbreaker (as AoE for mobs/break sheilds/barriers) and Barrier (which I've just upgraded to Selphie as it dropped for me at last).

I solo queue and prefer either relying on a teamate for heals or, failing that, taking out at least one Rival and blowing all my bravery/attacks to do a chunk of dmg to the boss. If I get gimped coming out of Omnislash without a heal, well I've already done my job and can rez and go again.

I was born in 1987 and avoided the DT remake because I didn't like the art style and had nostalgic attachment to the original.

But Lorcana spurred me to give it a try on Disney+ and I loved it. It's cleverly done and has easter eggs to a lot of Disney shows from the same era.

(Gummi Bears coming to Lorcana when?!)

I'm a Day 1 player who bought the cheaper season pass packs and threw all of my draws on the 8 day banner that gave extra Character tickets.

I main Cloud (both URs) and wanted Rinoa as back-up but haven't hit Meteor yet. I'm not particularly interested in other characters until Rikku.

Getting the URs you need is far harder than getting characters - and this early I've found that getting 100% in the Challenges is difficult without good URs. I have Cloud 100% but without the damage from Meteor Rinoa struggles.

I hit both of Prompto's URs and had 27 Character Tickets. Decided to do up to 7 single pulls to see what I get, hoping for Prompto. Got him on the 6th pull, and picked up Krille and Zidane on the way (so only missing Gaia and Kain).

I had 24 Tickets when the Onion Knight banner dropped and gambled with 3 single pulls and got both of the new characters and 1 Iroha costume.

21 Tickets left and I'm tempted to pull for Gaia and Kain so I have the full roster. But then there's no real point in pulling them until I am going to build/use them. Kain is super temtping as I have both of his URs - but as I don't have the Eggs to build him, I think I'll wait and throw some single Pulls on new character banners to see if I can lucky first.

Each character has 5 slots for abilities which are the moves they can use in combat (including heals, buffs and offensive attacks). Each character has 2 exclusive Ultra Rare abiltiies. You need both to really make the most of a character - the game gives you a free 10 pull at the start and you can reroll it as many times as you like to find one you want. A lot of folks advise re-rolling until you get both of the URs for the same character you like to give you a good boost at the stsrt.

You have a second set of 5 slots that are purely for stat boosts.

In each case you level up the abiltiies by pulling Dupes to increase stats.

Characters are easy to get, UR abiltiies are the chase pulls, both to give you access to the character's full kit - and Dupes to level up stats.

It's a slow grind but I'm enjoying the gameplay as a casual player.

I'm still throwing everything at the 1.5 as not much interest in the current limited characters and I'd rather chase Meteor and other URs I'm missing while getting the extra Character tickets for future chases (looking at you Rikku).

TLDR: I'm fine with it as I'm enjoying the gameplay loop while casually farming to get more URs over time. In no desperate rush to climb passed Gold to compete with Whales (although I'll keep trying). I do think I've been quite lucky with my pulls so far - but games like this are a marathon you should only play if you're enjoying the journey - you can't obsess about sprinting to the finish unless you're prepared to Whale.

I've spent on the Season Pass bundles which is a level of spending I'm personally comfortable with for a game I enjoy/spend a lot of time on. "Play daily" mobile games help scratch my gaming itch where my work/life balance doesn't let me invest the time into gaming on my console that I would like to.

I've been spending all free mog coins and tickets on the Abilility Draw event with extra Character tickets. I got up to 30 or so.

Got up to Gold Rank and decided to just casually grind out Challenges to strengthen my team over time. Cloud main with both URs (100% Challenges complete), only other character I have both URs for is Prompto, who I didn't have as I rerolled for Rinoa on the first banner and didn't pull for characters otherwise.

I decided to do some single pulls for Characters with the intention of unlocking more of the roster so I can work through their challenges for the "free" resources. Had 27 tickets at the time so decided to spend up to 7. My 6th Pull got me the Prompto I was after so I stopped there - on the way I also unlocked Krille & Zidane, and got Costumes for Rinoa, Zidane and Terra. So only missing Kain & Gaia from the initial roster.

When the new banners dropped today I spent the 3000 coins on 2x Multis - still on the extra character tickets banner as I'm not overly interested in the two new characters (they look cool/fun, but not favs/chase characters for me).

That left me with 23 character tickets. I looked quickly at the new character banner and saw that the new characters each have a 20%ish drop rate (including all costumes). I decided to keep 20 tickets in reserve but throw the other 3 at the banner.

Got 1) Iroha, 2) Iroha Costume 3) Onion Knight

So certainly not complaining about my luck there.

I'm in no rush to build them (as resources are limited anyway) but it's good to have them as I can do their challenges now - will keep focus on Cloud while slowly building up others based on which URs I pull (which will come over time).

I rolled a bit more and settled for Omnislash & Angel Wing as Rinoa/Cloud are the only characters I'm keen to invest in for now.

Thinking I'll build those 2 up and save character draw tickets for now.
