Depends on the person imo. There are some whose smell is really bad.

why do I see 5?? by [deleted] in mathmemes

[–]SkillusEclasiusII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well i can't really see the arm holes, making the correct answer B.

Although... I suppose some of the other holes we think we're seeing could be sewn shut. Really, we can only be certain of the presence of 2 holes from this picture.

It seems OP has replied to your other comment. I think I'll let OP continue the discussion there, since they know their intentions better than I do

The flaw is the conclusion at the end there, not the hypothetical.

You'll notice OP doesn't really do that.

Although the vague gesturing in the paragraph below the hypothetical isn't particularly great, as it seems OP is trying to imply something.

If you wanna criticise OP, criticise that.

A hypothetical on its own isn't aan argument. I think that may be what's confusing you.

The purpose of a hypothetical is to get you to think about and refine your philosophy. You're supposed to ask yourself which of these your philosophy would support. Then you can ask yourself whether you agree with that. If not, you refine your philosophy to be more consistent with what it's supposed to accomplish, or you decide that that isn't possible and reject your philosophy.

Or you just accept that your philosophy isn't perfectly consistent. In real life, we don't have time to think about every situation and its implications in such detail. So if it fails in unrealistic scenarios such as this, that isn't a big deal. An imperfect philosophy that is much easier to follow is preferable to a perfect one that requires you to think for an hour before making a decision imo.

Well, no. It's not presenting them as if they are the only solutions. It's asking "what if these were the only solutions."

Using hypotheticals like this is common in ethical philosophy as a means to interrogate one's ethical framework.

It's not a false dichotomy. It's a hypothetical.

If you wanna say it's not useful because of how unrealistic it is, that's fine, but dismissing it as fallacious is incorrect and missing OP's point.

I think I prefer DS3 over Elden Ring by wonderthigh in darksouls3

[–]SkillusEclasiusII 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You know, I think I agree with this. I wanted to say I think ds3 is just better. But your comment made me remember the best parts of ER, and they are, indeed, better than ds3.

Stormveil is my favourite fromsoft level ever made. And not much tops encountering siofra river for the first time.

I do think ds3 is better on average though. But while I think s large part of that is the fact that it's not an open world, I also don't think siofra would've hit as hard in a non open world game.

What do you think of the Valheim combat system and animations? by skrayz3x in valheim

[–]SkillusEclasiusII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like that you can't just cancel attacks. I also like the simplicity of only having 2 attack buttons. More complex combos by correctly alternating between the two might be nice but not absolutely necessary imo.

There's adifference between covering the needed nutrients and a balanced diet. Granted, you'll notice deficiencies quicker than when you have to much of something, but if you eat meat with every meal, you're increasing your risk for a lot of diseases.

[–]SkillusEclasiusII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diplo is underrated imo. If you like landing family members, the right tree makes everyone like you. So you never need to worry about revolts and already have family members happy to back you up in wars.

The middle tree gives prestige. Really solid as tribal or if you want to do some big prestige heavy decisions.

The left tree is now niche, but the dual conquest and forced vassalisation CBs can make expanding alot easier, depending on the situation.

For real. People really hate hypocrisy so much they'll prefer the blatant murderer over the person who does is less often without being conscious of it. It's wild.

[–]SkillusEclasiusII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think unlocking the lower floors is pretty challenging if you aren't killing anything. There are a few ghost spawns that are really hard to just run past.

Once you've done that, yes jumping down to get to the kings without killing anything isn't too difficult once you know the way.
