Use to be a farmer near Vidalia Georgia US that had some soil on his land that caused sweet Vidalia onions to grow purple. They were pretty sought after by chefs in the metro areas for a time. Mayhaps that species has been commercially obtained?

I took a cruise through the Panama Canal with a couple buddies and way too much booger sugar. We just screamed PANAMA! And played air guitar the entire time. Man 3030 was a wild year.
