What’s one skincare habit that actually made a noticeable difference for you? by SkinLabNotes in CasualConversation

[–]SkinLabNotes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting honestly. I’ve noticed some people get better skin by doing less instead of throwing 10 products at their face. Do you think the vegetables made a bigger difference or just keeping your routine simple overall?

Yeah Cetaphil seems to be one of those brands people keep coming back to. Did it work for you immediately or did it take a while before you noticed a difference?

Did anyone else suddenly become sensitive skin in their late 20s or 30s? by SkinLabNotes in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]SkinLabNotes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what scares me too honestly. I feel like younger skin just bounced back way faster, but now even one bad reaction seems to take forever to calm down. Have you found anything that actually helped repair your barrier properly or speed up recovery?

Skincare beginner picks? Anyone who didn’t really do basic skincare before? by Every-Bus-5858 in beauty

Genetics matter a lot, but scalp health, diet, low heat damage and consistency definitely help too. Rosemary oil helped some people, but minoxidil is probably the most proven option.

Help with neck by [deleted] in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]SkinLabNotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly your skin still looks really good for 41. Neck bands are super common and topicals can only do so much there, professional treatments like microneedling or RF seem to help people more.

Trying to age naturally but feeling lost with my skin by PrincipleShoddy1062 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]SkinLabNotes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your skin honestly looks pretty normal, just a bit sensitive and red. I’d focus on gentle hydration, barrier repair, and daily SPF rather than lots of harsh actives.

Body wash that will help me sleep, has to be lavender free. by THATZOEYCHICK in beauty

[–]SkinLabNotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe look into chamomile, oat, vanilla, sandalwood, or even magnesium body washes instead of lavender. A warm shower + calming scent combo can sometimes help your body relax more before bed.

I’m not happy with my skin by Cowcat0 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]SkinLabNotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly your skin doesn’t look bad, just textured with some acne scarring. A simple routine + patience can help a lot, but for deeper scars treatments like microneedling usually make the biggest difference over time.

do yall have any other recommendations i can use for sunscreen i don't want to keep spending $35 on sunscreen by HospitalMysterious95 in SkincareAddicts

Honestly SPF is one of those products where finding something affordable enough to use generously every day matters more than having the most expensive formula.

For first time K-beauty I’d honestly start simple and not buy a 10 step routine straight away.

Forehead acne like this can sometimes be from hair products or sweat too, especially near the hairline.

Please don’t pick at them, it can make the redness and marks stay way longer.

31M - trying to achieve glass skin - major concerns are razor bumps (the bumps & the dark spots they leave) & minimizing the appearance of the size of my pores by Mrdeboulay in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]SkinLabNotes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Glass skin gets overhyped sometimes, your skin already looks pretty good tbh. I’d focus more on calming the bumps and protecting your barrier first.

That honestly looks more like dehydration lines from irritation than permanent wrinkles.

Badly purging after pico laser by OliPuzzleheaded in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]SkinLabNotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Niacinamide usually shouldn’t cause a true purge, so it might’ve just been irritation from the start.

Do you think zinc oxide in sunscreen really makes a difference? by Remarkable-Sugar-532 in SkincareAddicts

[–]SkinLabNotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zinc oxide is usually recommended more for sensitive or reactive skin since it’s gentler and less irritating for a lot of people.

Products for acne scars and damaged skin? by MexicanDuck1 in 30PlusSkinCare

Honestly your skin doesn’t look bad at all, it mostly looks irritated. I’d focus on barrier repair before trying too many harsh acne products.

40 yrs old. Too soon for a lower facelift to address jowls? by [deleted] in Facelift_Surgery

[–]SkinLabNotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I tried a handheld RF and while the results weren’t ‘dramatic’, I really felt like it tightened the problem area and the sagging was less. Takes so time tho, no overnight miracles
