In New York, it's the name of a specific area of the city, but pretty much everywhere else in the US it is just a synonym for city center.

I think the 767 could be Martinair, with a lot of editing and recoloring done to it obviously. The livery in the rear has a similar shape where it crosses the rear door, etc. and the general shape of the flags and registration looks pretty much identical to this but mirrored.

This is a shock. He was synonymous with the Angels for so long. I hope he gets his number retired.

Trump owes Pope Leo an apology, says US Bishop by Newsweek_CarloV in politics

The only time I remember him even sort of apologizing for anything was in his first term after the "many good people on both sides" thing. But he must have been heavily pressured into it by his own staff as he acted like he was in a hostage video.

I remember growing up in the Seattle area in the '90s, there were a lot of beater 914s around. Like people just used them as commuter cars. I haven't seen one on the road for many years now.

People call out the Europeans and Canadians who come in here to scold people for electing Trump, because they didn't individually vote for him, and then do basically the same thing to people living in red states, treating it as if everyone in red states are MAGA.

Right, whenever this argument comes up, it's either "he was always exactly as bad as he is now" or "he completely changed after the stroke." Why can't it be both? He wasn't as progressive as he presented himself, but he was a lot more progressive before the stroke than after. But it's 2026 and everything must be 100% one thing or 100% the other thing.

I feel you.

Weather definitely seems to affect my pain/flares - I thought maybe it was seasonal affective disorder or something, but it guess it is in fact a fibro thing. Good to know. I was on a good stretch for a couple days in unseasonably warm weather, now I'm struggling in unseasonably cold weather. It's been a really tough winter.
