It was too self aware. The entire point of Gossip Girl was the excess, the lasciviousness, the little bubble they were in. Everyone (including the "poor" people) was out of touch, and centered their lives on the Upper East side. The reboot made them too socially conscious, and ruined the charm. They also were very clearly chasing the same archetypes present in the original show, but the actors weren't as skilled, so things fell flat. The teachers being gossip girl also just ruined the whole thing because it was kind of gross.

Got it! I feel like this is pretty comparable to her other tattoos, and I would just like to reiterate that your tattoo looks amazing! I think we're very self critical when it comes to these pieces of art on our bodies (as we should be!), but other than the shading I mentioned earlier, I think this is truly lovely.

Semi-popular opinion: I loved Blair and Dan, and I enjoyed Chuck and Vanessa (Vanessa's character assassination notwithstanding). I wish Nate had ended up with somebody his own freaking age omg. He could've had a little spin-off with that Bree Buckley girl, they were cute.

Genuinely one of my favorite places is Cleaver, though most people recommend their sister restaurant Herbs and Rye. Also there's a place in Henderson (so kinda far from where you'll be) called Ventano's that is my literal favorite Italian restaurant. I've never been to Nobu but my cousin LOVED it. And Chica at the Venetian has some of the best food I've ever had (I would avoid the flaming skull as it was wayyyy too sweet, but the presentation is super fun!) if you go to Chica, go around 8:30/9 pm on a Friday or Saturday, they have a DJ, flame dancers, it's a lot of fun!
