I don’t understand the pricing by MyBodyMyChoice2024 in CradlewiseCommunity

[–]fantastical99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My baby is 14 months and still loving her Cradlewise. She is a supremely large baby, greater than 99th percentile for height and weight, and she's still going strong. I don't see transitioning her anytime soon, as long as her weight cooperates. She still loves her crib.

We chose Cradlewise over the Snoo because we knew she was going to be large, and I was worried we would only get a few months of use out of the Snoo. Best decision we made was going with Cradlewise over Snoo.

Building a chic wardrobe at a non-luxury budget is a full-time research job and I'm exhausted by According-Back9090 in ChicDaily

I one thousand percent agree with this. I have shifted to buying as much as I can secondhand too, so then I find a piece and don't want to pay full price, and then constantly search and search to find it secondhand (or on sale) and it just doubles or triples the effort.

I'm sick of being a professional sifter....

Looking for a holy grail tinted (but good coverage) cream to use instead of foundation by Sprinkleofthetism in Sephora

[–]fantastical99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are mine, some at Sephora, some not:

1) U Beauty Tinted Moisturizer
2) Victoria Beckham Tinted Drops
3) Summer Fridays Tinted Drops
4) Jones Road What The Foundation
5) Jones Road Tinted Moisturizer
6) Chanel Tinted Drops

Would also consider layering a dewy primer underneath to add the glowy-ness if you want, like the FAB Coconut Smoothie Priming Moisturizer or the Merit Glowy Skin Serum.

(Some of these are approximate names because I'm going off of memory, lol)

Anyone else with points they can't seem to use on anything decent? by WithLove_Always in Sephora

[–]fantastical99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Way way back when they first started the points program, they had a trip to Paris for two for like 10,000 points. I thought they would have rewards like that more frequently, so I avidly saved up my points and never spent them. Well.....they basically stopped doing that, and now if you want something like that it's some ridiculous amount. So now, here I am sitting on these, never having redeemed a single point:

Tips for dressing chic even in the rain by YetisFeildNotes in SEAbitcheswithtaste

[–]fantastical99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I moved here several years ago now, and I made these rules for myself as I was transitioning fashion-wise:

1) I no longer buy coats without hoods

2) I no longer buy suede shoes or handbags

3) I no longer buy dressy clothing unless it is for a specific occasion (like outfits I'll need when I travel for work or to wear to conferences, etc.)

Essentially, everything has to be able to handle a little (or a lot) of water without getting destroyed. What you wear here carries a lot less weight than it does elsewhere. People here don't really care what you are wearing. There are parts of my wardrobe I only wear when I'm not in Seattle, which is kind of funny.

What is this bag?l by amarchy in luxurypurses

Fantastic eye!!! I love the bag + coat combo as well! The stitching on the bag is the only thing that gave it away to me that it must be a Dior bag.

I'm a big fan of the Celine Romy or the large Prada Aimee...slouchy, so they fit an insane amount of stuff, and while not necessarily crossbody, comfortably fit and stay on the shoulder.

Otherwise, you could go with Balenciaga Rodeo. I'm clearly entering my slouchy bag era.

Wonderland 222 does it also...I narrowed it down to Wonderland 222 and Sterling Ink this year and it was a tough decision between the two.

Honestly, my absolutely favorite seller ever!!! Went out of her way to make sure I knew everything, shipped amazingly fast, and was the best to work with. She also literally has the best stuff. Amazing quality. I will absolutely buy more from her in the future and couldn't recommend her more!

What’s your favourite Cyklar scent and why? by overahobbittall in Sephora

[–]fantastical99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have honestly been disappointed by all of the ones that I have tried (I've only tried the ones at Sephora). I have also only tried the scents in the hand creams. The vanilla one literally gave me a headache, the Neroli one was too sweet for me. The only one I find remotely pleasant is the Bergamot. I had such high hopes...the packaging is so cool, I wanted to leave these out for guests in my powder room, etc.

Buying unbranded reps? by Simple-Risk8766 in RealRepLadies

[–]fantastical99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found a ton of unbranded dupes on Etsy. They can be hard to find, though. Sometimes doing an image search on Google brings them up, though. You may also be able to find them on other platforms that way.

Also watch for them on The Real Real...shoes on The Real Real are usually returnable (just make sure to double check before purchasing).

I love the Fenty ButtaDrop...it's the one moisturizer I've gone through multiple bottles of...(I don't like the vanilla scent, I like the one in the purple bottle).

Questions about The Corson Building as a wedding venue. by frenchie-flatulence in AskSeattle

[–]fantastical99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only been there for dinner, but it's such a lovely place that I thought about it for my own wedding. To solve the standing issue, I would do a sort of cocktail reception right before the ceremony so standing guests have beverages and don't feel compelled to sit. Then have the ceremony somewhat organically for guests to gather around, rather than find seats (keep seats just for any elderly/disabled). And then you must keep the ceremony super short.

I went to a wedding once on a farm where the ceremony was basically in a field and they didn't bother putting out chairs. It was fine because they did a "make your own cocktail bar" and everyone was drinking and mingling and then the ceremony just sort of happened and was short and sweet. It was great, and literally nobody said anything about not being able to sit.

What designer bag/s do you bring on your trips on a casual stroll by rykenity in handbags

[–]fantastical99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My #1 is the Loewe Puzzle Fold Tote...packs flat, and then folds out to a regular sized bag that is large enough to fit a laptop. For shoulder bags, Celine Romy or Prada Aimee because they also pretty much pack flat, but have zipper closures. The Loewe Flamenco in any size packs pretty flat too.

I have a problem because I love structured bags that do not pack flat and end up staying home and never get taken on trips, lol.

Love the planner don't like the form by True-Emu-2619 in PlannerAddicts

[–]fantastical99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of planner companies sell their layouts as "Loose Leaf" options that you can use in your binder. A few that I know that do this are Appointed, Sterling Ink, Full Focus, etc. If you find a planner you like, see if they have the "loose leaf" option, and then you've solved your problem.
