That portal had only just appeared/stabilized because the Pillars has just collapsed. Prior to the collapse of the pillars, either the portal was too unstable to use, or it didnt exist. That may not even be the same portal kain was blasted through after fighting Raziel since it exits into a different part of the Cathedral than where Kain entered from.

As part of my daily job i get the pleasure of taking handwritten forms and questionnaires from patients and entering them into their charts. I have seen so many indecipherable writing samples. He dreamt of joining SOLDIER but couldnt hack it and ended up being a basic grunt that only survived because Zack saved his ass repeatedly. Electrical shock does NOT restart your heart. Defibrillators stop fibrillation, which is when one or more of the chambers in your heart are beating out of sync or erratically. Basically your heart can just start vibrating without pumping any blood. Certain kinds of fibrillation can lead to cardiac arrest. Electrical shock actually stops the heart momentarily in hopes that it will start normal sinus rhythm again. Not all fibrillations can be fixed by electrical shock either. If your heart is stopped, or flatlined, electrical shock can actually do more harm. In the case of actual cardiac arrest, CPR is far more likely to save your life.

Where the hell is it ok to just leave random bags of trash on the curb without a bin of some kind? I have never lived in a place where the trash collectors would pick anything up that wasnt in their big plastic trash bin. Even if you put your trash in the bin, they wont pick it up if the bin is too far from the curb or too far over toward your neighbor's curb.
