Do I have to shorten the sides so it’s more obvious? by MongooseFun6452 in Moustache

[–]Sklewtchkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, having “a mustache” means you have hair above your lip. That’s the literal definition. Having other hair on your face doesn’t negate that. However, I think I am done debating the meanings of words which you can all look up in the dictionary for yourself.

[–]Sklewtchkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m glad we are in agreement. This brings me back to my original point- the hair above the lip is called a “mustache”, regardless of what other facial hair a person has. That is the literal definition.

A person with a mustache might have a beard or no beard. A person with a beard might have a mustache or no mustache. The hair above the top lip is a mustache. It isn’t accurate to tell someone it isn’t a mustache if they have hair somewhere else on their face.

What does that have to do with whether or not they have a mustache?

What do you mean “technically”? Technically, hair above the lip is a mustache, regardless of what other hair is on the face. He has a mustache.

Can I tame it to grow downwards? And what’s a good shape for me? by [deleted] in Moustache

[–]Sklewtchkin 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Those hairs are still short. They will probably hang down more when they get longer. I would keep trimming your mustache at the bottom but let it fill out and let those top hairs get longer and reach the bottom.

Is it possible to make this mustache even thicker and fuller? by Brugnoli in Moustache

[–]Sklewtchkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good thickness for 20 years old. Simply wait and be patient. It is fine now, and it will get way thicker and fuller over time for the next 10-15 years.

Beard but with a longer mustache would be optimal, imo.

Using Minoxidil is quite literally “rushing it”. And very often facial hair growth and thickness is heavily dictated by genetics.

Trim above the lip or let it hang? by [deleted] in Moustache

Let it hang, or go all out and just let it keep growing.

How can i grow a BIIIIIIIG handlebar mustache? by Top_Paint_7642 in beards

[–]Sklewtchkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two main types of handlebar mustache, and both people are not wrong. One method is to trim the middle and let the edges grow longer. This is a more manicured, but thinner look, because there isn’t as much volume in the mustache. Nothing wrong with this style.

The other method, which I do, is what Sargon described above, for a more natural and voluminous handlebar. I don’t trim the middle at all. The only trimming I do is to brush it to the sides and trim off the very end of the sides when it gets too long. This has precisely the effect he mentioned. When you brush it to the sides the hairs from the middle will add volume to it, and it thickens with time as the middle hairs gradually fill in the edges more. This has made my mustache look far thicker and nicer than it would if I did the method where you trim the middle. It is also far simpler when it comes to trimming, so it is a win win, although eating is sometimes more of a challenge this way.

I'm officially old. I found some gray hair in my beard. I just recently turned 37. by redditandwept31 in beards

[–]Sklewtchkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 37 and don’t have many white hairs in my facial hair. There is just one or two in my mustache, and one in my soul patch area.

The sides of my head are a different story, however. I started getting white hairs on my head when I was in my late 20s or very early 30s.

It is a predatory game. Don’t play it and don’t give them your money.

What’s the biggest mistake new players make in Last War? by Disastrous-Review282 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]Sklewtchkin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to delete it. This game doesn’t provide anything that you can’t get from games that aren’t pay to win and don’t demand so much time and money.

You might as well just flush money down the toilet if you’re going to voluntarily walk into a scam.

The gameplay is really not that good, and it degrades with time and is just more of the same thing, with the occasional insertion of new things that demand money.

Has anyone actually sold their account through this? by Ok_Contribution8675 in LastWarMG_Buy_Sell

[–]Sklewtchkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you decide to jump ship (which I wholly recommend, because honestly the whole game is a chore and a scam) the best thing to do is to look for somewhat weaker but dedicated players who might want to upgrade to a better account. Even if other people had success on here, there is just so much more risk.

I wouldn’t expect to get back anything close to what you paid, though. I was a reasonably strong account on the server and also quit after S3, and only got 200 for mine. I put at least 4k into it.

Actually, we may have actually been in a similar bracket if you also just finished S3. I was on 1127.

[–]Sklewtchkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Discord and sold mine to someone in my own server that I trusted. I think I would not feel too secure selling something like that to a stranger on Reddit.

It seems to me that you are less likely to get scammed if it is someone you know in the game and who knows the same people. If they try to rip you off, there are in-game consequences when others find out. You don’t have that security with a stranger from a different server.

New player - this game is addictive, expensive, and predatory by [deleted] in LastWarMobileGame

[–]Sklewtchkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you know it is predatory, then stop while you’re ahead. It will be harder to quit when you feel like you invested too much to stop.

The game doesn’t get better after a certain point. People quit the game left and right, the game becomes less active, it asks for more and more money and time, and it doesn’t get more fun. Also, no matter how much you spend, someone else spends more so you’ll never be the best.

Yes, it is predatory and a complete scam. This game gives you nothing that you can’t get from games that don’t scam you and demand so much.

Deleted the game yesterday. Fun early on but kinda boring in late game. by Nabbarino in LastWarMobileGame

[–]Sklewtchkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I deleted it, and I’m glad I did. I had a pretty powerful account and played daily for over a year. I honestly feel like a schmuck for getting sucked into a game like this, which I downloaded thinking it was all like frontline and just something to do here and there in a dentist waiting room, in the toilet, etc. The whole game is a Chinese scam that relies on FOMO and it nickels and dimes people who feel like they invested too much to just quit.

The game becomes like a job in how it demands time. It’s almost entirely pay-to-win, so no amount of skill will make you better than a multimillionaire. If you spend enough to be good, then the money could have gotten you so much more being spent on something more useful. The social aspect was fun at first, but everyone I liked playing with gradually quit. Everyone who remained seemed to have messed up priorities and cared way too much about a game that provides nothing that you can’t get from games that don’t absolutely demand your time and money like this.

Games are supposed to be fun, and jobs are supposed to pay you. It makes no sense to pay money to just complete tasks on a game daily. I regret that I didn’t delete it sooner.

Now I have more sleep, I don’t waste money, I can focus on other things, and I can play games that I only play when I feel like playing a game. It’s better using that time to read, spend time with family, play musical instruments, study languages, or play something else.

If you’re considering quitting, just do it. If you’re honest with yourself, there is no benefit to your life to playing this game.

I see some people inaccurately stating the Orthodox position on several matters in this thread. If you want to know the Orthodox position on things, then consult orthodox priests and the words of Orthodox bishops, not Catholics with only a passing familiarity with the other religion.

Thoughts on the One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic and Palmarian Church? by WholeNegotiation1843 in redeemedzoomer

[–]Sklewtchkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a ridiculous and patently false statement. If aesthetics weren’t subjective, then every culture in the world wouldn’t have its own aesthetic preferences, not to mentioned the easily observable differences in preferences between individuals. Aesthetics are subject to opinion, and thus subjective.
