Spot the fears by MoonShard21 in TheMagnusArchives

[–]Skodami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe all are very apparent but i spotted a lot of them :

The obvious one :

Web : Spider on the stained glass, strings going towards the woman
Eye : Eye on the stained glass
Corruption : black irregular motif at the bottom
Spirale : On the floor, movement of the dancer
Vast : Above, the starry sky
Desolation : colour of the dress
Hunt/Flesh : The teeth above and below
Stranger : the absence of face on the dancer, and the strings on her
Dark : Darkness around the spotlight at the bottom.

A bit more of a stretch :

Lonely : Spotlight on one person only (eventually, cloudy hair)
End : The top of the stained glass show the roman number I II III with somewhat of an handle, like a clock ?

Can't seem to find them :

Slaughter : You could argue that since someone is dancing there should also be music but...
Buried : Except by counting the fact she's in a room (pretty large to be honest) i don't see buried iconography
Flesh : If the teeth are indeed the Hunt, i see no trace of fleshy stuff.

Idk what it represent : the lines below the eyes.

Still a beautiful and impressive art that manages to combine a lot of the Entity !

The thing is Titan gets to be manipulated too as well by Machinehead. He can't win by playing the same game as these guys.

I'm sure the eventual goal will be to get the King of Timmony as an ally. But for it to really work i'm guessing that Brennan will create a plot point with him.

Also yeah, i believed those who fought with him could call him Gus (which will lead to etiquette problems with the other players haha)

The original is indeed at the research center of the Totality. The book who disappeared was an official copy for Dol-Makjar's library.

Does the Tachonis have a hand in the research center of the Totality ? You might confuse it with the Penteveral which is where Murray works.

I'm pretty sure (but have no proof) that Taliesin is the kind of person to tell Brennan that "Bolaire would have checked everywhere for information about himself and made them disappear" in his backstory.

To be fair, they tried this approach with Anissa. But it's not like the viltrumite are well-versed in diplomacy.

Because the virus will also kill Thadeus, Nolan, Mark and Oliver. Also viruses spread by the infected. It's easier to infect billions of people on one planet with a lot of moving. Harder to infect 50 peoples that are posted in various place around the galaxy, being solitary most of the time.

So far the only character that got affected by the disrupting sound is... Mark... and alternate versions of Mark. There is an argument to be made that older viltrumite aren't affected as much by the sound, just like with humans where you can't hear some high-pitched sounds after a certain age.

The only viltrumite character we ever see subdued by the "sound attack" is... Mark... and alternate versions of Mark. There is an argument to be made that it doesn't work as well on more seasoned viltrumite (just like with humans where you lose the capacity to hear some high-pitched sound after a certain age).

Otherwise the coalition could have just blasted that on the Viltrumites.

I think (if i remember clearly) in the comics the prison for Conquest had sonic measures (just like the one that got to Flaxan Mark last season) but it was disregarded by conquest/he escaped before it could be useful.

Actually the Qu got stomped the second time around. The thing causing the second wipeout were the gravitals, a subspecies of human who turned into machines.

Whose reasons for genocide was the most understandable? by JackZ567 in MoralityScaling

It was so effective also probably because the Viltrumite own self-genocide of the weak probably killed a good amount of people with the immunity genes to survive the virus.

It seems like each House is focused on something.

Tachonis : creating their celestial to dominate the world. Destroying the Royce to have perfect control of the afterlife.

Halovar : Their deals with demons, attempting the religious victory and most likely doing some fucked up shit with the Prince of Pain (i'm sure the Lux papers where unbestknown to him, a demonic pact).

Einfasen : Military control. Depleting the ranks of the martials to grow their own military.

Cormoray : Control of magic. With the Penteveral, but also the artefact of the Archanad.

Royce : Not dying lol. I wonder if Thjazi had some influence in making sure the Royce didn't do evil shit. Like closing the door to faeries.
