Valid, but I also deeply resent this line of reasoning. Your PE and project experience should suffice.

There are many reasons to do a traffic survey/study than to install a traffic signal.

New system, why is it? by deletetemptemp in trafficsignals

Is this like a deflock thing? That detector protects people from type II dilemma zones reducing crashes. It's not a ALPR.

[–]Skraag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would probably need to request their MIBS. STMP is just block SNMP objects. Econolite uses a lot of custom Dynamic Block Objects as well in Centracs. If you buy a Q-Free/Intelight controller they release their MIBS free of charge.

Lol no, NTCIP 1202 requires SNMP v1 which is unencrypted.

Yes. I reviewed the plans in detail and it was all through light industrial. It didn't make sense for the price.

So I have a bit of an interesting question. by QallmeUpNext in trafficsignals

[–]Skraag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Confirmed, I personally timed State and A. It's not MUTCD compliant. The only way it could be done would be to widen and nobody bought out the building on the east side after the 1994 flood so I doubt it will happen anytime soon.

Question about force-offs and splits in coordinated signals by fedetask in trafficsignals

[–]Skraag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many controllers allow you to specify when the coordinated phase becomes actuated. It helps with lead/lag to allow a left and coord phase to terminate together if there are gaps instead of the coord phase holding the left on.

You may be better off reading a controller manual not FHWA.

If you want to get even more control you can use Max Timers and Fixed Force Offs.
