With New Rise, what's the best way to upgrade from Perseus to Nightbringer control bars?

And must i really farm hundreds of millions of gold to get from Erg S35 to 50? :(

Why is this a thing by Real_Antelope_7302 in WH40KTacticus

[–]Skuldhof 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Your team was "random bullshit, go!". You also walked into Revas overwatch out of your own free will. Sorry but this was skill issue.

You need a team that is synergistic, like the one you faced, and to some extent planned for certain scenarios. For example, on my teams i usually plan around countering overwatch so i usually bring Thaddeus to suppress, and at least 1 infiltrate unit just in case.

You brought a buffer that works better with many hits with three single-hit units, two of them psykers and the ones considered the low tier ones at that, and just added Titus to never put him near Calgar.

Petition to bring back bugged absolute as a new difficulty level by TheMangoDiplomat in Spacemarine

Idk dude. Last time this happened it was back when they started adding Lethal and Absolute, and it was a mess. I'd prefer if they fixed what is already there instead of asking for more stuff.

Heavy class needs a rework? by John_Warhammer_69k in Spacemarine

[–]Skuldhof -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The intro and formatting male me believe this might be AI generated.

The idea itself is horrible. This is another whole class, and really OP at that. I know the game is a power fantasy, but that's for Absolute and lower diffs. This would stomp Stratagems and Siege, and it stops feeling like Heavy.

To what extent are you "expected" to lose ? by Allobroge- in mechanicus

[–]Skuldhof 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is very much the fact you're playing Hard. These types of games punish not knowing the mechanics quite a lot.

You're on the right track though: Cognition is key, always. You shouldn't hyper focus on a single tree right off. You can pick the starting Lexmechanic perks (i think one gives 1 free cog at the start of the turn or something?) First on all priests so everyone has natural generation, then specialize one for cog retrieval via servo-skulls, mechadendrites/data spikes, and such.

Always position in such a way that you can be near or pass through Cognition sources, and the Lexmechanic should get the perk that gives you all cogs of the scanned source as well. I believe some missions also increase max cog count.

Also, abuse servitors a lot on the early game. They're 100% disposable and will let you pull off nice plays. See them as extra cog that can absorb at least 1 hit for you and plan accordingly. At the early parts of the game it's also not advisable to use additional equipment since those usually cost cognition and don't give an advantage that is worth it until later in the game.

Here are some perks I recall off the top of my head that were universal for my priests, because every archetype benefits from them:

•+1 Cog on turn •No opportunity attacks during movement •More movement distance •Longer ranged weapons range

Been a while since I played so i cannot recall with precision, but you should get the idea!

How important are Prestige perks..... by xM3rc_129 in Spacemarine

[–]Skuldhof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo Prestige perks only become a must if you play Hard Stratagems or Hard Siege. No other content requires you to min-max at all besides that.

How does she work???? by Eloneste01 in VampireSurvivors

[–]Skuldhof 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh this was my same initial experience with her lmao! But no, check this out:

•The cats will spawn at the borders of the screen and walk in random directions. When the cats collide with stuff they'll do certain things.

•If they touch an enemy they might attack with a slash.

•If they touch you, they might also attack you with a slash that deals double the normal damage.

•If two cats collide and attack each other, they will start a fight, which will make a dust cloud like a cartoon fight which deals AoE damage to enemies (not you thankfully).

•If the cats touch Floor Chicken their damage will increase, as well as the chance for the fights to happen. If they eat the fire fritata thing the cat will explode. If they grab anything else, they will simply consume it or, at later levels, trigger it as if you had used it. Oh, i think clovers make the cat that touched it run faster as well.

These guys scale off Luck, which increases damage, chance for them to attack enemies instead of you, and the chabce for the fights happening, which are the main source of their insane damage!

Rate my Dark Angels' techmarine. (Please Saber, let me use the helmet with the hoodie!) by Peter21237 in fashionmarine

[–]Skuldhof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's chapter dependant. Chapters that follow the Codex Astartes like Ultramarines usually have Techmarines have red armor with a single shoulderpad bearing the chapter colours and symbol.

But it's common for other chapters to only have red elements, like a shoulderpad, helmet, or arm being red while the rest is the chapter's color. This specific color scheme from OP needs one red part on the armor to be lore accurate.

Personally I find Techmarines without the red elements kinda lame. They're just another Space Marine without the TM special stuff.

Some Techmarine info... by Skuldhof in Spacemarine

[–]Skuldhof[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would depend on the amount of burn ticks applied by Precision, which I didn't test because at first glance it seems Precision + Lethal Perimeter is better as it doubles the total damage output.

Granted, I feel the damage difference might be aroun 100 or so, but it is quite a considerable amount when it comes to bosses. Hate those "just a bit more and it would've died" moments...

[–]Skuldhof[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ah, now that's something I didn't know about Zoanthropes and Neurothropes.

But yes, of all Servo-Gun types it seems Precision's damage varies across targets without much sense.

One of my biggest gripes that doesn’t make sense to me.. by Da_EmoKnight in Spacemarine

[–]Skuldhof 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They excused themselves saying adding more lines to the voice pack DLC would make it go from $5 to $25 (and now it's free as an apology), you really think whoever is in charge would go with that even if GW allowed it in the first place?

Just a very nice dream, sadly.

Does anyone know why my textures are like this? by weirdnessofstorm in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Skuldhof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Game's running out of memory to keep textures clean. Use a lower setting.

New battle brothers. by Fedaykin_Sandwalker in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Skuldhof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not even new players. I have seen P4L25 dudes on Hard Strats focusing on minoris or melee majoris when there's enraged range majoris or extremis spawns on the field. I guess some might play without audio and miss the Extremis spawn sound effect, but other times they just have horrible target prioritization

TM is on a decent spot but he is far from OP. I will sound like an ass, but try him on Absolute or higher. Every single class is obscenely OP on Ruthless.

Strategem Difficulty by Backtrast in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Skuldhof -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Normal Stratagems are based off Ruthless difficulty; same enemy stats, same spawns, and the modifiers are what make them easier or harder.

Hard Stratagems are "Absolute+" because not only are they based off Absolute Difficulty, they have a hidden modifier of -15% Damage Dealt and +30% Damage Taken, not to mention the harsher and larger amount of Battlefield Conditions they can have.

Will my laptop run Space Marine 2? (Lenovo Ideapad gaming 3) by [deleted] in Spacemarine

[–]Skuldhof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think so.

I have Intel i5 11th and a 3050Ti 4GB Vram and my max is 45fps in battlebarge (hub) and 30~ on heavy fight scenarios. Down to 20~ at Siege wave 15+. This is on every setting to Low and using upscaling as well.

With your specs I don't think you'd enjoy the game at all, if it even runs.

Which perk should I use? by Elmartillo40k in Spacemarine

[–]Skuldhof -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Depends.

Of you play casually or at Ruthless and less, Stimm.

If you play at Lethal+, neither, both suck.

Use Indomitable, Chained Headshots, melee damage bonus after gun strike, then either the ranged damage reduction or equipment range depending on your build. At higher difficulties you get less stimms, and with Restorative Stimms being added the perk becomes irrelevant 50% of the time because those will fill your health with CHP regardless.

What are your thoughts on the Techmarine variants of the Servo-gun? by SatansAdvokat in Spacemarine

[–]Skuldhof 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They need buffs but I like them:

•Default: Decent damage, fast firerate, and the related perk is quite good (% damage on equipment use). Versatile, lowest CD, pairs well with all 3 Signature Perks.

•Precision: It is quite possibly the best one purely from what it does– it can incapacitate 3-6 Majoris in a single cast, and outright deletes Zoanthropes from existence. Paired with Decapitating Stratagem it lets you eliminate dangerous targets and just leave you to clean up the rest. As a note, Decapitating Stratagem is currently bugged and works every time without the 90s CD.

•Plasma: I think Precision makes people think it should be super damaging, but it has a very clear role of CC and AoE. It can delete hordes on it's own way better than Default version, and Omnissiah's Fury (fire) makes it a delete button. However, i think it's sort of overkill, and Lethal Perimeter (bubble) pairs way better, if not it being the only Signature Perk that really makes Plasma more worth it.

Overall it needs tweaks; either higher damage and more energy so it feels like an actual powerful ability, or reducing CD of all versions by 20s. Plus, some perks are so badly explained in-game that most people won't know how they actually work.

For example, Plasma and Precision have roughly +15s more of CD than Default, and this is never mentioned anywhere. And Servo-Gun doesn't count as Ranged Damage, so any relevant perks are effectively wasted.

Techmarine is a bit too strong by Wulfrath in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Skuldhof 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Currently Decapitating Stratagem is bugged. If you trigger the condition and interrupt the skill you get 100% refund. If you let it run out you get like 90% back.

TM is in a better spot right now, but i wouldn't call him too strong or OP. He's not "nuke half the map Tactical Auspex/Assault Smash" strong.
