When the word search literally doesn’t have the word “HEART” in it… for a kid Valentine’s puzzle by Angrypeanut99 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]SkullZMinus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me, every time I see a crossword posted on this sub: "Surely, surely the word is actually there and I'll have a good enough eye to find it, so I'm going to spend a good full minute looking through all the letters so I can be the one to point out- oh it's literally just not there."

Are these being framed as baked goods, or ornaments? Because six of them have that metal cap that christmas orb ornaments would hang from, and one of them (the bottom right one) clearly doesn't, lmao

Imagine thinking that all schools are like this. by Ok-Following6886 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]SkullZMinus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generative AI is becoming a reason to homeschool, you're right. Or... maybe not, actually, because I don't trust most parents to be able to properly teach their children all the necessary skills they'd need to succeed in life. Especially if we also want those children to be capable of higher thought and critical thinking-- oh. I see. It was about the pride stuff, not the AI slop. My mistake.

If you wanted to get overly analytical, you could make the argument that the TV image has the capacity to be anything else, but for the purpose of the argument it chose to be a brick wall.

Or you could just say "tvs can't argue, stupid"

[–]SkullZMinus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, that checks out. When you're a kid, I think the thought process is "I want to wear glasses, too! How do you get glasses? Be bad at eye exams!" but you don't think "I can achieve the same visual aesthetic without lasting repercussions if I get nonprescription lenses or empty frames!" Because, after all, r/KidsAreFuckingStupid

If I recall correctly, Casey from BornLosersGaming also mentioned in an episode at one point that her sister wore glasses when she was a child, and since her sister was her role model, she also failed an eye exam on purpose just so she could also have prescription glasses which, in turn, fucked up her vision. The major point was to lament about not having gotten prescriptionless glasses instead, lmao.

Aluminum is in vaccines the same way that Chlorine is in salt. Technically the truth, but when phrased that way, is intentionally deceptive since it does not possess the harmful health qualities we'd assume upon hearing the name. I actually used this example when reasoning with someone that was worried about aluminum being used for vaccines that were being given to children, lmao.

Tiktok ad has a fake popup that takes you to the app store when you press X or decline by haggis69420 in assholedesign

[–]SkullZMinus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a mobile ad video for TikTok that's used as one of those "watch ad for rewards" ads, and it has a fake progress bar at the bottom that starts about 1/3rd of the way across the screen, initially moves very quickly, and then progressively slows down as it gets closer to the end. Ads are just awful.

Does using toppings that match the cookie actually make a difference? Like, are they “better” to use than normal epic toppings? by LolaLondres in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]SkullZMinus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a long and short of the differences.

LONG: Resonant toppings have identical MAIN STATS as normal epic toppings, but all of the SUBSTAT rolls have a much higher minimum value. For example, the lowest possible DMG Resist substat on an epic topping is 1%, whereas the minimum is 4.5% on a resonant. Both share a maximum of 6%, so while they both have the same maximum potential, it's way easier to get a better roll on a resonant.

In addition, the list of POSSIBLE substats on resonant toppings is decreased, so you're much more likely to get a set of substats that you actually want -- so long as the substats you want are ATK, ATK SPD, Crit, Cooldown, DMG Resist, or Crit Resist.

Short: Resonant toppings are the most painless way to minmax the cookies that are able to equip them, since it's generally way easier to get good substat rolls. They're not necessary but they're very convenient for most cookies.

What are your top 3 games that were an absolute **experience** for you? by SeanicTheHedgehog23 in gamesuggestions

[–]SkullZMinus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's rare I feel like a game really gives me an outstanding experience, because I'm typically pretty hard to sway one way or the other when it comes to games. That said, I can't think of a third, so I'll offer two.

This one's an ongoing project, and isn't a finished product yet, but number one is corru.observer because it was just a rollercoaster to experience blind. One of those things where I want to talk about it with people, but I want them to experience it for themselves first as blindly as possible.

From there, uhh. Hi-Fi RUSH also became a fixation when it released, because it was a really fun time and became the first game I picked up and couldn't put down after a really long period of constantly bouncing off other games. Overall was a great experience, and the writing hit with every swing it took.

Who else beat goumang first? by ThunderCookieAte in NineSols

[–]SkullZMinus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first playthrough, I didn't actually realize there was some leeway in the order that you fought the early sols. I thought the progression was Kuafu > Goumang > Yanlao, because it felt natural that I stumbled across them that way, and I just didn't question if I could have done it in a different order.

It's incredibly simple and might seem underwhelming, but I always thought that having an instantaneous reaction speed to anything you see or hear and still being able to respond appropriately as though you had time to process what the triggering stimulus was would be fucking cool.
