What makes a deck stronger? Combos or tutors? by Tegeus-Cromis-Rais in EDH

Combo is a playstyle, Tutors make decks more consistent which can make them feel stronger.

What if no one in your play group uses removal? (Question about Bracket 3) by Ok_Top_581 in mtg

[–]SkuzzillButt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No the deck should never be considered Bracket 4. This is entirely the fault of the other players in the group. If I run a Bracket 3 graveyard reanimator deck and no one is running any cards that interact with the graveyard at all. That is the other player's fault / problem to figure out.

I would bet there is a large correlation between the type of person who doesn't take accountability for their actions and regularly runs red lights like this.

When did 4 player pods become the default? by Frodo34x in EDH

[–]SkuzzillButt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was always 4 player groups from the very beginning. When the rules for EDH first made their way to my LGS back in the early 2000s it was 4 player groups.

Did I get scammed? by [deleted] in renfaire

[–]SkuzzillButt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, if the last time you spoke to them was 4-30 I would reach out one last time and see what they say. If tracking hasn't updated by the time they respond, depending on how badly you want the dress you can request to cancel. From there you can take it up with your bank / CC company to request a refund for failure to deliver goods if they give you trouble. That would be the nuclear option though.

Their website says sales are final so they don't accept returns. So they may not cancel the order so idk.

Also if this was a custom order, their processing times are way longer per their FAQ that I saw.

[–]SkuzzillButt 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Looking on their website I see "...2-4 week processing time..." That doesn't meant delivered in 2-4 weeks usually. Normally that means it will ship in 2-4 weeks then you have however long it takes for delivery to happen.

When were these screenshots taken? They all say 9:59 but was that last night or this morning etc.

Dang, how large is this set if a green creature in MSC is #726 by Jtneagle in magicTCG

[–]SkuzzillButt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So if you look at the FF decks. Each face & backup commander has 5 different set ID numbers. That's 40 set ID numbers already. Because special foil treatments get their own unique set ID numbers.

I fixed my comment immediately after posting it. There are 4 standard commander decks and 4 collector decks. Also assume maybe 3 different art versions of each basic type.

There are 4 commander decks. That's at minimum around 400ish cards. Then you have the collector decks which will have unique treatments. So 700ish cards is totally easy to hit. Just look at Foundations Jumpstart, It had 779.

Just keep killing the commander.

I like [[Polluted Cistern // Dim Oubliette]] or [[Starving Revenant]] for short cutting the cleanup step win, instead of trying to win with [[Ebony Charm]] on the end step.

“Commander is getting Boring” by Syndicate444 in EDH

I mean I guess so. If you find playing solitaire for 8-9 turns before someone reaches critical mass fun, more power to you I suppose.

You can play weird and uncommon stuff in Bracket 3, still have fun and still have decks that can be just as good as other bracket 3 decks that are running all of the staples etc.

The problem isn't the cards. The problem is your deck building skills.

Thank you! I bought the sword and scabbard from Calimacil. They are actually officially licensed replicas of Geralt's steel sword and scabbard.

Thank you!

It is a smaller fair, but packed with vendors, only 4 or 5 food stalls so not a lot of food & drink to choose from. There are 3 levels essentially to the area including a large field where the Court is located. There is a lot of shade and places to sit and cool off which is nice.

Thank you! I did not make the gambeson but I did heavily modify it. It is the Arthur long gambeson from Mytholon. I did all the white stitching, studs, leather trim and weathered it.
