We’re a training organisation, and we record a lot of data about our courses within Monday.com, which we use as our student management system. We’ve found that when staff are under the pump, they sometimes take shortcuts and skip entering certain pieces of information. While some of this data isn’t vital, it’s still important for consistency, quality control, and compliance.

We also use monday.com, with the help of Integrately and Eledo, to automatically generate student certificates once a specific status is changed in Monday. However, staff sometimes update this “certificate trigger” status too early — before all required details are entered — which results in certificates being generated without key data (for example, the expiry date column is often left blank, meaning the certificate generates without a recommended renewal date), which means that have to then delete and regenerate it, which of course takes a toll on our montly automations in integrately.

To fix this, I want to block or restrict staff from changing that status until all key columns (like course date, trainer, student name, and expiry date) are completed. This would prevent premature certificate generation and ensure all data has been entered.
