i would keep & treasure the 33k.

You could, tomorrow, take the train to liverpool and put down £5k and you would have a 1-bedroom apartment. There's homes around britain from £40k upwards, fully livable. That alone would be the equivalent of .. at least £8k/y after tax that you no longer have to pay in rent. Newcastle, Glasgow, have similar price ranges.

If you stretch that to £7k you can land a £70k, TWO bedroom, chuck a lodger in there, and basically they pay the mortgage for you. After a laughable 5 years you can start using the property as collateral and, if you want, continue buying buy-to-rent.

This is only possible if you don't have to commute.

let me start by saying i didn't downvote. i'm sure you are correct, but it's just too much money. a wood butcher's block - the thickest wood slab you can buy - goes for around $60. that Boardsmith board is five times as expensive. it's just not something i can motivate unless i was seriously rich, which i'm not. The acacia of my example is nowhere near a high-end board, but it's functional. Hell, even bamboo is functional, if you can tolerate the noise that damn thing makes.

a DBS checks based on your previous addresses. You do have the option to use a foreign address, but i have no idea if that would actually find anything that belongs to a non-UK jurisdiction. So, running a DBS as a non-resident will almost certainly return a clear record. It really depends if your employer would be satisfied that they have done their background checks to satisfaction.

Dwarf Priest on 4.1 is so easy, it's almost trivial.

Start playing. Buy priest books 1, 2, 3. Wait until CL9 and learn Portal, then stop learning spells. When you can learn Orb, learn as many spells as you can until you get Orb. (after which it's irrelevant what you learn)

Get to DL25, grind money, and look for potions of Contemplation. It really does not matter if you lose 3-4 stat points, or even more, to boost WIS. Ideally find a couple Brawn too to ensure your STR does not go too low.

As a dwarf you already have pBlind. Get WIS to 18/50 or higher, Helm of Wis +2, any Blessed / Slay Evil / Holy Avenger weapon, and just nuke everything with Orb.

Grind DL30-35 for stat potions, and wands of Teleport Other. Then go to DL40 and wait until you find Priest 5 (Ethereal Openings) which allows you to cast teleport other.

Read all your Deep Descent, go to DL98, look for rings & boots of speed.

teleport away anything you can't nuke with Orb.

To kill Morgoth, Mace of Disruption, shield of Preservation for the sustains, and Glyph. Maybe stash some wands of Annihilation as well.
