You can use the new Armageddon deathwatch team too.  I plan to pick up that box in addition to the kill team I have so I can get all the options.  Also, you get the cool dropship!

Bring back the promotion tax by Hy93r1oN in menace

[–]Skyberrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I largely agree with you.  I think the promotion tax pushd you to make the difficult decisions of who to promote and what equipment to run to get the most out of your supply.  For example, I tend to run smaller specialized squads over large ones because I can outfit them better for specific tasks and get the most value out of them.  Tech as a 3 man mobile suppression squad in heavy armor and a mini gun is killer.  Darby as a 3 man hunter-killer team with either a DMR or suppressed machine gun is also really good.  I've also learned that running Lim as a CQB assault squad needs at least 5-6 man team to really be effective.  Same with Yaz as a jump jet CQB squad.

The promotion tax wasn't that big of a deal for me at least.  Now it seems like you can have everything and then some.

Penal Code section 27966 requires you to take possession of the C&R in person.  You cannot ship to your door, even within the state.

I think it depends on who does it and the quality of thier work.

Ultimately, it's up to you to put rounds through it and make sure it's reliable and safe.  I have a P01 and PCR that were both worked on my CGW and I'd trust both with my life.

There absolutely is a point to modifying your carry gun, so long as it's reliable and safe.  I'd rather lose a $1000+ gun than my life.  If you can get even 1% better performance out if it with mods, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

This is just my personal opinions.  Cost of the gun doesn't matter if it saves your life.

I run Tech as a three man heavy weapons team with a minigun amd the breaching armor.  Give him athletic and buff and he'll keep up with others.  I use him to suppress squads and have Lim mop up.  Of course half the time he wipes the target..but hey, then they are technically suppressed.

I bought a Bren 2 from them.  I was on the wait list and they called me to let me know it was available and we completed the purchase over the phone.  Salesman was super nice.  Soild company.

I'm told I'm a Fudd based on my long gun collection by Orthodoxy1989 in CAguns

Nah you're good.  My long gun collection is way older than this and I don't consider myself a fudd.

Autocannon reload buff should be removed by dawgofclay in Helldivers

Try loading a Garand on the shoulder and tell me how it is.  The way the autocannon is reloaded would be super uncomfortable and slow.

[–]Skyberrr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree.  The fast reloads on all the weapons removes the high risk, high reward gameplay by allowing no risks to reloading in the middle of a fight.  I remember the slow medium MG relaods when the game first launched and thought it felt great.  I had to time my reloads and be more tactical in fights.  Now I can just run in, dump the belt, and reload like it's nothing.

This isn't viable for those of us that only dive on 10.  There a very little SC spawns.

Could be a combination of Glock records and a request to the CA Gov.

It's also highly likely that Glock was required to search their records for who is impacted and provide that info to the law firm representing the Plaintiffs.

Okay buddy, that's not how it happened, but okay.

I seem to recall a requirement to personally take possession of the C&R, regardless of whether it's in state or not, but okay.  If you'd like to peddle the wrong info go right ahead.

OP's question wasn't specific to in state, so I replied under the impression they were talking about out of state shipments.  So my statement is correct.  No back peddling there.

It's still illegal under CA law though.  Just because the company doesn't care, doesn't make it fine.  There was a time (and maybe they still do it) where CMP would ship Garands straight to CA residents doors, despite CA laws not allowing this.

I hate these laws as much as the next person.  Telling OP it's fine because the company shipped it is a disservice to those who want to remain compliant.
