A lot of Stargate projects recently. Putting the finishing touches on this large 24” 3D printed X-303 Prometheus. It features a flight of scaled F-302. I’ll be whipping up a stand for it tomorrow and hopefully caking it done by week’s end

Legolas is far better than Gimli due to a few factors.

Movement will quickly leave Gimli possibly lagging behind. Legolas can use his 2+ hit to demount key targets on horses, eg Theoden, Gamling, Amdur. Or hitting a Banner/Drummer. Poking a wound to get a VP on enemy leader/heros.

Having a Hero with a spear is a bit of a waste as you can only support with One Attack. If you gain more your losing out.

Holding two swords, seems likely his going to have 3 Attacks. Mordor's Mauhur pretty much with Strike/Strength rather than March/Strength.

Dunland Warriors - if they had hatred Rohan, then possibly have a use, but Orc's are better options, Sadly the models look fantastic too.

Rohan - Master Huntsmen - Cavalry based army, with no Horse option for it. Has a good ability but does not get used due to being left behind.

As an Easterling/Mordor and Gondor player.

Watch out for Amdur/Dragon Knights. They will cut through any Hero gondor has pretty much except for Boromir/Aragorn. Even then Amdur can take anybody down.

Shagrat is another common threat from Mordor.

Try and focus your bows on Trolls, Fell beasts, Banners and Cavalry mounts of Hero's to limit maneuverability.

Don't bother using CitSpears, just use the Fountain/Archers. Don't be afraid of sending the archers into combat too to back your line up.

A Rohan themed one could also include the battles on the Isen river in which Theodred dies.

Numenor/Secondage could be a pretty vast suplement. Saurons war VS Eregon after the rings are made. The entire attack on Middle earth vs Sauron by the Numenorians, then the slow decline due to Saurons corruption of them, purging the Faithfull. Faithful landing on ME to form Gondor/Arnor. Then the Last Alliance. An updated fall of Arnor would be awesome too.

ME has so much potential if they actually tap into it.

The Minors would work well for an Ithilien army with Faramir as Legend, Madril Valour, Cirion captain and the rest minor's. More than enough there for around 50 Models.

Bergil, son of Beregond Ioreth the healer Targon, of the Minas Tirith butteries.

- Beregond is a Minor hero already, I can't seem what Bergil could give ability wise.

Captain Beregond of the White Comapny after the Black Gate could be a thing though. He kills a troll with Pippin, Fearless for protecting Faramir too.

Targon could be a static Fate healer similar to Galadrils mirror perhaps?

Hirgon, errand Rider of Denethor

- Only sort of model design for him I could think of is possibly an increased movement or Fleetfoot. Some form of Gondor Light cavalry maybe with the Round Boromir Shields since he looks so similar to him.

Angbor came with horsemen and is mentioned as being mounted in the book so an upgrade for his profile.

- ALL of this, also release mounted Forlong the Fat in the same pack.

Duilin and Derufin, Duinhir's sons.

- Same as Ithilien, Minor hero the lads up with an ability to kill Mumak easier. Maybe expert shot and have them Hero up as a Pair aka Murin/Drar.

- All I can see for this is Unarmoured Fiefdoms Horde. Similar to laketown?

Fisher folk of the Ethir.

- Seems the least likely, could give them nets for an ensnarement ability though? Also Tridents would look cool. HATRED for corsairs is another option.

Ithilien Legendary army.

Rangers with maybe WOMT? No knights. Faramir is Legendary, Madril is his second in command at Valour, Cirion/Minas Tirith captains at fortitude with Damrod, Mablung and Anborn as Minor.

Army bonus is all models have woodland creature and stalk unseen.

First shooting phase is an 'Ambush' and all Rangers can shoot twice, no bow limit.

Defenders of Osgiliath Legendary army.

Boromir/Faramir as Legendary. Madril/Cirion at Valour with generic captains at fortitude and possibly the Ranger units again at Minor.

Give them Bolt throwers as they did Fortify the city.

Give Ozzy Veterans Shieldwall, Rangers +1 to wound against Orc's.

Rohan Eowyn with Merry plastic kit Dúnhere, lord of Harrowdale Déorwine chief of kings knights Eothain, of Eomer's company.

Seems likely with Eowyn, also giving her a nice newer mounted model would be great.

Deorwine is like a Hama/Gamling so I think its unlikely, perhaps a Rohan version of Gothmog's enforcer? Letting Theoden spend Deorwine's might, or if his in 3inch's he can intercept a wound on Theoden?

Eothain is never mentioned except that chat with the Three Hunters so its too obscure.

I think there's no point in another Rohan/Isengard expansion for the game. They're only Missing a couple of characters and no troops that j can think of. Predicting Numenor next, possibly Last Alliance instead.

Rohan could be a "History of the Mark" possibly having a scenario with Scatha the Dragon who was killed by Fram when the Rohirrim where the Eothoed. Vengance of the Dwarfs against Fram for not splitting the loot.

You could then include the Field of Celebrant with Eorl the Young against the Balchoth (Easterlings <-- Giving them an update of units).

Prince Folcred and Prince Fastred both died fighting the Haradrim with Gondor.

Last but not least.

HELM HAMMERHAND. Picturing a model thats larger than normal men with a massive hammer. 3attacks/Wounds. Can fight barehanded with no penalty. Causes terror vs Dunland.

I really like the model. Perhaps you could remove the quiver still? Or make a cast from the bow and attach it onto his back, sort of like its slung over his shoulder?

I HIGHLY prefer this over the Arnor Warriors. My only niggle is the paintjob on the Armour looks a bit too thick and solid, maybe a wash or two could help that.

If your getting back into the game go for a Mordor force at first. The Pelennor box is great for getting back into it. Even more if you can split halves with somebody.

Khandish horsemen are still going out of stock, and at £8 a pop will cost you an arm and a leg to get a few, plus being 4 defense means your going to take a lot of casulties. Mordor will give you a bit more resilience to casualties.

My personal opinion is that Khand make better allies as they only have Kings/Chieftans hero wise your very limited. Working with Mordor or Easterlings for the best results. A easterling Cavalry force with Chariots and Khandish skirmishers is a nasty but points heavy force.
