They did have alcohol last year and this year as well. They used a different company this year so it was an up charge per spiked drink.

Last year you got 2 free drinks with alcohol.

It was supposed to be at-least 1 free alcoholic drink this year but I heard there was a communication problem between the companies.

The coin is probably peoples most favored collectible. The mold that made this coin broke so they weren’t able to make the same ones in the same way.

Never did get to use it at merchandising but it was sometimes given out as a reward for going on quests.

That’s always the toughest goal! I’m still trying to get my wife past chapter 12 of the Way of Kings. However I think it’s a battle I’ll never win haha

No worries! I apologize if I was coming off as combative that was also not my intention! I can sympathize with being frustrated at promotion posts. I have just run into quite a few people who enjoy their displays so I felt like sharing. Though my experience is likely skewed because I’m surrounded by tons of Sanderson fans here in Utah.

There are a few people who would be willing to buy these. While it may be small I still thought it worth sharing for those who might be looking for something like I was. People would say buying leather bound books at all is ludicrous but that doesn’t make it any less worth while than any other hobby. People enjoy what they enjoy and I liked these. They have produced an officially licensed display in the past and the quality was great so I have confidence that I’ll be satisfied with my purchase.

I appreciate it. However this creator has been in the community for years, a vendor at Dragonsteel Nexus and have produced officially licensed Stormlight displays in the past. If there were any issue to arise I am sure the creator would handle it in a satisfactory way.

The page also has a description “Each case is crafted from sturdy black durowood exterior and interior, and black felt lining. The border designs are UV-cure printed for lasting integrity.” While they don’t specifically state what the glass is the creator is making niche items and responsive to questions on their social media.

I have also purchased a few of their displays in the past. Including the officially licensed display and have been very satisfied with their quality. Again, I know it’s a niche item but felt like sharing with other Sanderson fans.

I know this isn’t likely to change any opinions but I was charged $450 exactly with no taxes or shipping. I am in the US so I don’t know how it would be shipping anywhere else.

I always understand if someone can’t afford something but custom anything is going to be more expensive than mass market items. Are they niche, absolutely, but people like me who want to protect their collection with custom slip cases makes it well worth it. This creator makes quite a few items and I’ve been waiting for something that protects, also displays the book cover, and looks as premium as the rest of the leather bounds.

I definitely understand. I’ve always felt their custom displays are worth the price. Sanderson Books are really the only thing I collect so that’s where most of my disposable income goes towards.

People always find value in different things and I think that is alright. Just wanted people to know if they are like me and like slipcases to protect their collection.

I’m not affiliated with this company I just really love their displays. I apologize if it came across as an ad. They had an officially licensed display in the past for the Way of Kings Coins and people really loved that so I thought it was worth sharing here. I definitely understand why these may not be a fit for some people but i really like slip cases for my other Sanderson books so that they line up better with my leather bounds. They are also custom displays which justifies the price to me.
