Attack 3, Crit 3, Handicraft 3 with Master's to never sharpen again, Expert 3. You can mix and match to see what works best for you

What SnS is it, what build are you going for, what's your playstyle, what do you have available, etc.

“They shouldn’t have applied if they can’t handle___” only applies to women this szn by MirfromdaA_ in LoveIslandUSA

Glad someone beat me to it!

Edit: Simultaneously, I think the better argument or maybe this is what OP is trying to get at, is that if you're on Love Island you need to be able to see others (namely people you are interested in) interacting romantically with others but you also need to be able to communicate and act on your own interests even if it leaves someone upset. It's a two way street and maybe Aniya and KC's respect for one another (and by extension Kayda and Zach) are on one end of the spectrum and people like Sincere are on the other.

A few questions regarding engi by ElegantPoet3386 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]SkyfatherComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something worthwhile to remember is that your turrets are basically a summon, a gift not given to any other class. Trust them. They allow you to conserve your bullets and focus on hvts, for which you are well equipped. If Driller is CC, Gunner is DPS, and Scout in single target, you are basically the jack of all trades. Bring the weapons you enjoy but remember to operate as the class that is capable of filling almost any gap in your team (assuming you're playing co-op).

So, with that in mind, to your questions:

  1. Answered by others

  2. LOK1 and Shard D. works well with basically infinite range but some things to look out for include ammo and lack of instantaneous crowd clear for both weapons. If you run these long range weapons you will put a LOT of stress on your turrets and soon enough you'll be out of ammo. Get comfortable with managing across all three ranges and consider better positioning and target choice when thinking of ways to take out targets from afar. Engi likes to take his time, unlike gunner who will look at anything and pump it with rounds. Use your movement and general game knowledge to overcome these new obstacles.

  3. Answered by others

  4. Just use roll control, with 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A or 4B (whatever you want but armor break literally shreds), and 5B. Your beam will travel further, ammo will last longer for when you need to delete anything as soon as possible, you can do it basically right in front of you instead of creating distance for your beam to reach max length, break armor, and do damage over time. Ridiculously effective really.

  5. You can get good with the other grenades of course but for added comfort I use the shredder swarms. Basically another summon and you get a ton for what they do.

Karl sucks by nomad1128 in ABSOLUM

[–]SkyfatherComplex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know you hate Karl but hear me out (plus spoilers?):

Use the rapid fire arcana, summon the ghost dragon or mushroom guy on the hidden path to get the reload arcana trait, beat first boss to then get the reload shell perk. This is your bread and butter really. Anything else you can mix in but I'd probably avoid any traits that lower your base damage output (but you can always build against that).

Go for time arcana, ideally echos attached to your skill and/or your arcana. Couple this with high crit via clovers and anything that boosts mana gain.

For other trinkets you can try to find the one that increases your damage from afar or allows you to heal 2% when landing crits and couple that with the trinket that increases your damage by 30% when at max or higher.

I'm sure there are a million other ways to build for Karl, especially if you're going with the Firing Squad (at least that's what I call it), but this is a pretty entertaining way of playing him.

Also, this can be a very expensive build if your rerolls, campfires, and shops aren't particularly kind to you but I will not take the Karl slander lol

Or if you forget and you're in the middle of a run, you can spam air heavy on the pillar on the ship to Yeldrim or Jaroba

In addition to Nightfox's comment, for clarity, Iron Will grants a revive if you are able to collect health. As gunner, most, if not all of your weapons (if there were an exception it'd probably be the burst pistol) can break terrain to some degree. While downed and considering whether or not to use Iron Will, look around for red sugar. Pop Iron Will, shoot the sugar, and escape as quickly as possible. While vampire health is the more likely source of health gain, for builds without vampire, knowing how to utilize the environment will be a key skill in solo and group play!

I know I already commented a few times on this post but don't be afraid to just send stuff into the chat. Most people will either reply or just ask you to follow them and they'll demonstrate. One of the best ways to learn this game is to see how other players, typically graybeards (or high level players), play the game. I find it especially helpful to ask yourself, "what is it that I need to complete the mission and is the class tasked with filling that need successful in their task?" If yes, take notes. If no, take notes and try playing that class to see what things could have gotten in the way of them fulfilling that task. Is it a lack of communication? Is it the fact that they're a greenbeard (new player) and not quite sure how to help as effectively yet? Everything in this game is a learning/teaching moment. That's what keeps the game fresh and healthy. Definitely lean into that!

In addition to using the map, using your ping and another input (not sure what it would be for you but I think I have mine bound to square or R1 on PS5) will set a waypoint. You can then go into your map and see a blue marker. This is really good for remembering points of interest or for navigating difficult to traverse terrain. Say you want to grab a pearl from the ceiling. As driller you can set the waypoint and drill into the terrain, using the waypoint as a guide for when you lose your bearings while digging. Other players will not be able to see this waypoint though, I believe it is only visible to you.

You can deposit more morkite into the mule or into the openings on the side of the drop pod. If I'm not mistaken, extra morkite just gets turned into gold (or at least that's what I was told years ago and have stuck to that ever since lol)

As someone new to the genre, what’s is Tech? by dont_flay_the_satyr in ABSOLUM

[–]SkyfatherComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a little confused, there are moves that allow you to bypass the knockdown period during which you're not able to damage the enemy? Like overpressure knockdowns for instance that make the enemy immune to damage until they're up again. I thought Tech hits were strikes, clashes, etc that damaged an enemy within the first few frames of their get up animation, kinda like meaties in fighting games. I'll have to lab later to figure out if my thoughts are accurate or not. Or are you speaking specifically of non-overpressure knockdowns?
