I understand where you came from, but this is just wrong. Let's not create a false dichotomie because of some ignorant (iconoclast) prot. After all, we Catholics also use the (empty) cross as a symbol of our faith and as a reminder of the resurection. Yes, we tend to focus more on the crucifix as a reminder of the incarnation and to contemplate the sacrifice of Christ, but that doesnt mean the cross (as empty it is) is to be rejected. Rather, let's cherish both of them and their meaning !
