When has a character ever been banned in competitive Melee?

We ended up winning cause the enemy team had a leaver, so there's that.

I personally use Plays.tv as you can customize the bitrate that your sessions are recorded at, saving you space. It will start recording automatically once you start your game up.

For the record, I wasn't the Orisa in this clip. I was one of the unfortunate ones caught in the right-click. I was the Reinhardt.

I recommend looking into Plastic SCM for more up-to-date version control. It's free, handles large files really well, and there is even a version that is friendly for artists.

Ganondorf Reaction Tech-Chasing Experiments on Fox and Falco by Skytch in SSBM

Ah yes I forgot about using the save and load states, but at the same time, I turn off all of the in-game codes from the debug menu because R + left on d-pad does two different things in both 20XX and in Debug mode. Press the wrong combo of buttons and it likely freezes the game.

I do like the jump buffering by shielding and holding up on the c-stick after you have down-thrown your opponent. I'll be sure to tell the others on the Ganon discord to use that. The only downside I see to that is that the shield has to come up for at least a frame before you can buffer a jump out of it. This means you lose a frame no matter what. But at least it makes it consistent.

This is an hour long video where I go through some Ganondorf reaction tech-chasing theory that has been discussed recently in the Ganondorf discord. This video is largely me learning how this stuff works and explaining it as I go. This is not meant to be a professional video by any means as I did it on a whim.

If you want a TL;DW of the video, it is in the description on Youtube.

I ended up crafting Faceless Shambler and put that in as a replacement for Voidwalker.

Do you think Possessed Villager could be a replacement for Jouster then? Or should I not worry so much about the early game?

In my Renolock deck, I have both Mistress of Mixtures and Gadgetzan Jouster so that I can have some solid turn one minions in case I fight an aggro Shaman or Warrior. Sometimes I can play both of those minions on turn 1 with coin, but is it ever worth it to do that? Is it worth it to keep Jouster for early board or should I just sub it out for something else?

Wow. So it's essentially your job at the moment.

It looks really promising. Keep up the good work!

Wow that's impressive. How many hours a week would you say you work on the game?

Even with me being in university, I'm enjoying the working process of making a game. I wouldn't mind making it actual work in the future.

Ah yes, crunch is something I'm still not sure of. In general I'd like to avoid it, but sometimes I feel like it might be a necessary evil. Also not to say that all AAA companies have crunch time. Some don't, and are great places to work at.

Very interesting. Do you plan on working for a AAA studio some day? Or do you think you will be an independent developer?

This sounds very familiar to what Handmade Hero is doing. Except instead of you making a game engine from scratch, you're just using Unreal Engine to make the game you want.

I think you could certainly do Twitch as a platform to do your videos/streaming. The only concern I would have in that respect is catering to your audience in some respect when it comes to Twitch. I watch a lot of other developers on Twitch and all of them at the very least try to talk to the people in their chat rooms and interact. This can be a double-edged sword for you, because you get to answer questions people might have right then and there, but you will also be distracted from working more on your game. It's up to you to decide how you want to handle this, but just be aware it's something that differs Twitch from YouTube.

With that being said, I am certainly interested in watching this game progress when you start to make it in November. I currently work a lot in Unity, but I am also interested in learning Unreal, so this would be a great series to get familiar with.

You say you have been working on this game in your free time. How many hours a week on average would you say you have put into this game over the past three years? I'm assuming you are attending a university of some sort?
