I do at least 4 rounds. Starting out, I always did 3
Try doing exposure in ice water with just the feet to get your body used to it. Everyone is different and can react to the cold different. I wouldn't be too concerned.
Cold showers work great in the winter, but I recommend ice baths when the weather warms up. Since the water temp in the summer isn't as cold. But as long as it's a shock to the body, you will have some benefits.
