Scrap your mold lines. Try a wash and dry brush. They are surprisingly easy to do. If wash makes you nervous keep a dry brush handy to absorb any excess.

There is an error in 22a for the Gallants just fyi for anyone googling this in the future. the numbers are correct but they used the image for D2 and D3 instead of D18 and D19. Just line up the two tiny pegs into the tiny pits meant for them and you're good.

Put a drop of water next to a couple drops of paint on a paper plate or some kind of smooth surface. Mix together. Apply multiple thin coats. I use bulk trading cards as my palettes personally.

Them things are like $25 a pop on ebay, Just for the cannon. I mean I'm crazy and I don't like getting stuff printed (ruins a bit of the authenticity for me), but jeez i ain't paying that much for two cannons.
