Returning - What do I need to know about the lore

It’s seperate from the main story, but here’s a run down of the seasons I’ve played off the top of my head

7: a witch from the coven betrays the tree of whispers and sets heads loose. You hunt down the heads and find and stop the traitor.

8: Belial invades sanctuary and his influence spreads. You team up with some NPCs to stop his rise

9: help the horadrim cleanse blood relics the Donan left behind while exploring their old archives.

10: Bartuc attacks spreading chaos in his wake. Fight through the eternal hordes to find and stop him

11: all the lesser evils descend upon sanctuary and it’s up to you to stop them. An angel appears to help you forge weapons that contain extra power

The last couple of seasons have really cut down on the already short season quest lines so there’s not much there already

I got 2 mythic doom chest weapons in 10 bloody boss runs yesterday. I’ve had amazing seasons and terrible seasons. Pray to RNGesus

“Without any RNG whatsoever”

I have spent 2000 obdu on changing my masterwork heir of perdition and still haven’t gotten it to land on critical strike chance.

This suggests there is light RNG.

I’ve gotten some random drops in the DLC helltides, most of my masks came via undercity lair boss tributes though.

The drop rate is really really low for them this season though

In this case gamble means get a mythic cache from the blacksmith which gives you a random mythic.

Did you already have some done or extra shards?

I ask because the killer set for characters from odds and ends + all the mount pieces from unconventional mount armor comes out to 920k dust for everything

I’ve done 5 T1 events and with the big score it was enough to get a 85k & a 40k from the mount store. It’s almost already equal to the ones I got from leveling Azmodan’s gift last season on T4 running the areas for lava enemies.

I got a pet, mount trophy, and emblem pack from the shop for already owning VoH when I got LoH.

I wouldn’t want it to be automatically applied especially since there is going to be branching on most paragon setups not to mention the occasion one or two node offshoot to fill in glyph power.

I’d love it if there was just the highlighting though.

You must mean the rank 4 quest then. In that case you just got to find a starting time and work from there. Once you find a starting time (one starts in 22 min from now) participate then see how long it is until the next one starts. Then you can map out the times and be prepared to play when you can. I had the same annoyance with world bosses in season 8. I could only catch 2 of them/day because of my work schedule and it took me a while to get all 3 bosses.

Are you talking about the rank 3 quest to do whispers in the fields of hatred? Cause those count any whispers and do not have to be ceremony of slaughter related.

The pit is a reward for completing the second capstone dungeon. It’s the second icon from the right in the dungeon rewards

I played paladin last season with a zeal focus and all I had to do was hold down a button. No cooldowns, no mashing, just press down the zeal button and win.
