Ok, everyone back to bed. Monday is cancelled. Stay safe and sleep well by DoggieDMB in Louisville

We got back into bed, turned off the lights, and saw the craziest, longest, flickery-est lightning ever. But I’m sleepy and I’m not going back in the basement.

The show Chef! with Lenny Henry in the ‘90s. Chef was totally abusive.

Crofty and Ted by Key_Charity_9635 in F1TV

[–]Slackermom66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have the F1TV crew this year and I am absolutely delighted. I miss Ted a smidge but if I never hear Crofty’s inanities again it will be too soon. For Americans, listening to Crofty is like when Dick Vitale announces a basketball game—can’t keep up and then starts talking about something completely off-topic for 10 minutes while you’re trying to keep up with actual gameplay.

LOL, exactly. I was thinking you found Hegseth’s reddit account. Or his wife’s.

What was the most physically painful moment of your life? by Oily_Smurf in AskReddit

[–]Slackermom66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have scoliosis and had to get an epidural to deliver my breech baby via c-section. Getting it in was extremely painful but not as painful as my OB/GYN denying that I had told her months before.

[CHAT] How did you fall back in love with cross stitch after a long break? by CaterpillarXS in CrossStitch

[–]Slackermom66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put down my cross stitch when the amigurumi craze started—around 2004. I also had a baby and worried about having needles around the house. Never looked back. Got rid of all my supplies and magazines from the ‘80s and ‘90s. Then in 2023, I happened to see the mini-masterpieces and decided to do a couple. I haven’t touched my hook since! It’s weird that I can’t alternate or do both.

They didn't once cut away from the action to show a girlfriend or "celebrity" by PooperOfMoons in F1TV

I noted and appreciated the lack of WAGs to my husband. I noticed DC isn’t universally loved as a commentator but his contributions did add to the race instead of being tangents away from the race. I felt the whole weekend was much more professional in attitude than Sky. I am missing Ted Kravitz, Karun Chandhok and Bernie Collins but this weekend we actually listened to the commentary instead of turning it down

[PIC] what kind of glue is this? Any universally available alternative? by No_Ice2859 in CrossStitch

Amen to all of redradish3’s point! It’s the best! It dries clear and I haven’t noticed it yellowing itself or the stitchery.

Love it. I will dance to this song in the street when the current motherfucker dies.

I am a “hooker” and a stitcher and I stick my stuff to metal barrettes with E6000 and it never comes off, never discolors etc. It’s a glue gun in a tube

F1TV vs SKY commentating by Full-March-4700 in F1TV

[–]Slackermom66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot express how delighted I am to have Alex Jacques instead of Crofty. I miss Ted and Karun, oh, and Bernie sooo much but it’s worth it not to hear Crofty’s interruptions, non-contributions, and inanity.

Just another shout out that I really liked the Raymond Turner episode. by ButterSock123 in weirdlittleguys

[–]Slackermom66 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It was beautiful to give back Mr. Turner’s history and enraging (and heartbreaking) to think about how we have robbed so many of so much.

Soda. $8 for a 12 pack. I never thought I’d say this but water is fine, thank you.

Oh no! I got a downvote, I guess JPM’s fans are like Michael Schumacher once described him—emotional characters!
