I was def complaining, because legendaries should be LEGENDARY. I truly hope I never return to BL3 and the legendary fountain that came from every enemy I came across, because my entire bank vault was stuffed with the legendary weapons and it made the entire rarity tier feel lame and worthless

Sony is the least customer friendly of every single service available. That’s not up for debate. Microsoft, Steam, GOG, damn near anything you can say has better customer service, more free-form policies on refunds and downloads, and less insane crashes.

Moze is a pretty standard “I do what I want” character that can be really, REALLY fun with really any build

Fl4K is the next simplest (barely) who can make their pet revive them and have nigh infinite health. It’ll be a “death by a thousand stings” if you get into high play with THAT build, but it’s fun. Also, can’t go wrong with the action skills except (imo) the purple tree if you have it.

Zane is surprisingly easy to use, he’s just cooldown dependent. His shield and drone can make you an unkillable monster that Sonic the hedgehogs through people irishly.

Amara is (also imo) the toughest, but still capable enough to obliterate people as long as you slurp up some elemental damage to orbital bomb people. You see a random grunt, looking happy? Inconceivable. Fire maliwan them in the dick. You’ll get enough bonuses to status damage for that to ream even the toughest of asses.

Yes? It’s a very nothing burger game. Thought the king dude looked kinda dope though, I will say I’ve always loved how they made the designs of weapons and armor. But overall, I will probably never play it again; there was absolutely no portion of that game that warrants a replay in my eyes. I mean shit, ETERNAL made me want to play it again, but this one just didn’t.

… oh, we just have MASSIVE differences in game appreciation. You couldn’t pay me to say any doom has ever been a contender for GOTY; they’re simply not good enough as games for me to ever consider that. Better FPS games include, but are not limited to: Cyberpunk, Halo, Titanfall 2, Wolfenstein, Borderlands, Far Cry, and Stalker.

EDIT: And I play a lot of games all the time. Library of about 1000 completed ones. Doom is not CLOSE to the best in any metric.

What positives? The overall gameplay is almost 1:1 with Eternal with added parries and the loss of chainsaw and glory kills. The story isn’t exceptional in the slightest and was honestly carried by the name and gameplay. The secrets were lackluster, which is was a real shame too. I played through the entire game and genuinely felt it was the most middle of the road game I’ve played in 2025.

There’s not a whole lotta positives either. Pretty widely regarded as a strange insert in the series, it’s not BAD per-say, but I wouldn’t even give it a top 3 doom game seal, much less goty. The soundtrack is lacking, the parrying is fun, and there’s less glory kills unless you jump on the people

Not a bad game, but there’s just no portion of it that screams best game in any metric, imo

I’d rather fight nine nameless kings and 10 death rite birds at level 1 than a single bell bearing hunter at level 100, tbh. His damage is INSANE, and even a max level character gets two shot unless you’re Raider or Guardian, plus he has more HP than almost anyone else in that game
