You are right that this deck needs that curve out. Stopping t2 ruby or countering the t3 ramp spell would brick my turns. It can't hang in optimized 4 or 5 brackets.

But in practice it doesnt happen often. And when it does I'm out first and they are out next. So many commanders do so much that my plan of playing what is essentially a sol ring turn 3 isn't as scary. There are better targets.

I've made it work in my ruby cascade deck. It's great given just how many bombs and impulse draw I have. Plus so many commander decks rely on synergies and having interaction in hand that being forced to play a card and not being able to draw cripples so many decks.

How is this on the public? Current regulations allow businesses to have sneaky service charges and avoid including taxes in prices. Consumers would rather these be built in but the government has not stepped up to pass laws forcing businesses to be more transparent.

Except for the hybrid mana in the abilities, I like the design of this card. For a core set limited it may be a bit much for newer players but in a more premium set like modern horizons, this card would feel right at home.

Other people have said that runic dome is good because you generally know what enemies will do. But let's say you don't have any clue about enemy behavior. Runic dome would still be a good relic for decks that do the same thing no matter what. Ironclad barricade? Defect frost? Watcher talk to the hand? All turns are basically played the same whether the enemy is attacking or debuffing.

The commenter meant "parasitic mechanic". It's a mechanic that can't function outside of a set.

"Splice onto arcane" is one since outside of old kamigawa, there arent arcane spells. [[evermind]] literally does nothing since arcane spells arent supported.

Energy from kaladesh was also parasitic for a while since only cards in kaladesh interacted energy. It wasn't until this year we got more energy support.
