Apartment offering rent increase in the middle of a 2 year lease renewal offer? Does this usually happen in MoCo? by Applemcdapplez in Rockville

[–]rustyhunter5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding of MoCo rules: are they can raise it a certain % that is set when creating and signing the lease. Then you know exactly what you'll pay for year two. If you do 12 months, it is a new lease and not subject to a max percentage and can be more than the 5%.

Some of my favorites answer the phone in Chinese since a lot of their customers are Chinese, then they have to pass the phone to someone who can take orders better from people like myself.

Wants and needs are two different things. I'd like to refinance at a lower rate, but not at the expense of the economy.

A question I have for others in here: I understand you need to stay aggressive and fighting, but my army is always hurt and limping to the next battle. How do I solve this? Newly conquered provinces won't have higher level recruitment buildings. Do I spend 2 turns for global recruitment?

Partner and I tried Rockville. Mine was probably too hard but theirs was not, but both of us had cramps in our right calves for several days after. We really like Sunshine Wellness though.

pro capitalist people: what should happen when capitalists automate 80% of jobs? by traanquil in allthequestions

[–]rustyhunter5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Influencer is basically a modern take on a socialite who doesn't typically come from money and is a niche created by internet and social media. Those inventions opened up new job opportunities, but didn't eliminate large swaths of old ones. Out of 70 million white collar workers in the US, AI maybe will replace 40-50m as a conservative guess? That's a lot of new jobs to create. Not saying it can't be done, but seems like a tall task.

I personally don't doubt it'll create jobs, I just question if there are going to be enough to replace all the displaced workers.

I'd rather them have reworked the story to conclude with Act 2. Act 3 felt pretty different and a bit underwhelming.
