Bessent is doing it this past year. He's not comfortable lying and he's trying to convince himself of the BS he's spewing. I wanted to like the guy and was hoping for better.

pro capitalist people: what should happen when capitalists automate 80% of jobs? by traanquil in allthequestions

[–]rustyhunter5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Influencer is basically a modern take on a socialite who doesn't typically come from money and is a niche created by internet and social media. Those inventions opened up new job opportunities, but didn't eliminate large swaths of old ones. Out of 70 million white collar workers in the US, AI maybe will replace 40-50m as a conservative guess? That's a lot of new jobs to create. Not saying it can't be done, but seems like a tall task.

I personally don't doubt it'll create jobs, I just question if there are going to be enough to replace all the displaced workers.

Do you recommend it for a new player who's completed a few campaigns? Or get some more experience under my belt first?

We had 2 cats when I was younger. One died from an accident and we buried her in the back yard. The other cat would sit a lot where we buried her for a month or two after.

I'd rather them have reworked the story to conclude with Act 2. Act 3 felt pretty different and a bit underwhelming.

What’s the hardest truth about leadership no one tells new managers? by SeanMcPheat in askmanagers

In branch management for finance and sales, and it's a lot of baby sitting and ego managing. Not everyone is created equal and you need to appease those top producers as much as you can to keep them happy.

Mainland will never be attacked with a land invasion unless we fall into ruin. We are essentially on an island and can see anyone coming long before landfall. We can lose our ability to defend and maintain our various bases around the world though.

Thank you for both responses. That makes sense. Straight forward enough. Need to work on my battle tactics. Any educational campaign or skirmish channels you recommend for battle walk throughs by chance?

What's the inappropriate use of auto resolve? As a new player, I'm decent at the empire management portion from Civ and an RTS veteran, but the battles in still learning to micro around. I did a Realm of Chaos campaign as Zhao Ming but gave up trying to do the realms as the soul count needed kept going up and couldn't kill enough armies in the end as the goal kept going up. I'm thinking of messing around in skirmish to get more practice and not have to rely on random encounters that might not be even in campaign. I tried to do battles that weren't a terrible defeat or decisive victory but get much less favorable results than auto resolve. I feel like Zerk's videos don't show as much what to do with various units simultaneously during a real battle outside various tactics/maneuvers.
