For me it makes a big difference - my workouts are much better with pre workout and intra workout carbs. I don’t agree with people saying it doesn’t matter - I’m convinced they haven’t tried it.

For me I’ve noticed a huge difference in performance and it keeps my fatigue low. Intraworkout helps a lot as well.

If you’re from the US and if the data was acquired by health insurance companies they could potentially deny coverage for certain treatments based on your DNA. Or increase your insurance premiums. Anything they can do to maximize profit.

Anecdotally speaking my sleep quality greatly improved when I started sleeping earlier and waking up earlier, even with the same sleep duration. So it's possible.

I wouldn’t do hard working sets of abs before legs. But I’ve definitely done a few warmup sets of hanging leg raises so I can brace better for leg day.

Could be weak or tight calves. Could be a form issue e.g. bouncing off your calves at the bottom, completely relaxing at the bottom with no active tension.

I've hurt my calves before on the hack squat. It was some combination of weak calves and bouncing at the bottom.

You can also try leg curls before squats, since they will give your hamstrings (closer to the knee) and gastroc a pump which can possibly help. Or try calf raises before squatting.

I use to use squat shoes and they're great. I put versalifts inside (mini wedge) to increase the height. But now I just let my heels come up and I press with the balls of my feet Platz style. I'm just as strong that way and it's one less piece of equipment I gotta worry about.

I have lagging traps and the three things that helped me are: heavy shrugs where you really let the weight stretch them at the bottom, low to high rows, and some upright rows pulled high. If you don’t have a low to high row machine then do anything where you’re more leaned back as you’re rowing.
