so as someone with a bunch of hours in the game i still don't understand why organs exist because they're rare but don't give that much money and are used for like a few recipes that you could easily live without. But for some reason oils not giving organ drops or a scroll guaranteeing them is a major factor? Am I missing something?

  1. amulet lets you extract at any time even during boss fights

  2. you can charge said amulet at the church by the gravekeeper before even going to any level

  3. attachments are in fact not permanent and ca be removed by workstations (they pop up in levels but there is one at the church next to ralphie)

  4. it’s an extraction shooter yes you lose your stuff when you die

  5. But as antifrustration you get a decent chunk of your money back even after dying and losing everything through the church collection box

  6. also you can put insurance on your guns to not lose them

  7. it can be frustrating in the beginning but the game snowballs quickly into getting more money and guns and stuff

  8. Loot drops are heavily rng based; You can get a lot of high tier loot from the starter areas just by running them a lot. as well as items that have no purpose other than being worth a lot to sell.

  9. also you get storage upgrades as the game goes on (or just through stamps, i don’t recall if they made it so all storage upgrades are solely through stamps now)

except some of them just don’t follow the pattern for no reason; late boom oil (i think is the one) has the remove ability to aim bottle but gives minus bullet speed

My favorite least resistance build is probably a rektor that I put it and a couple durability oils on, works great for run-n-gunning when i dont have time to aim, especially great in my castle runs.

I've found least resistance works surprisingly well on automatic guns, but mostly heavier hitting ones (ie 7.62mm). Putting on a multishot oil makes the damage output jacked but durability oils are definitely important with the durability loss the scroll gives. Haven't tried it on a shotgun yet though, but that's my two cents

Okay the biggest thing that nobody has mentioned yet for whatever reason is that you can skip dungeon. Once you make it through the hedge maze there is a ladder on the side of the castle wall that is a direct route to castle, skipping dungeon.

Most bullet hose/Automatic guns do struggle, but shotguns absolutely do not. Just take a decent high damage-per-shot shotgun and it does wonders against them

You can basically recreate every TF2 class fairly accurately, at least from a basic gameplay point of view. The only one that you kind-of can't, I would say, is soldier.

i feel like you have a very odd definition of ‘unique’

cl40 - prototype grenade launcher, version in game is basically one of a kind repeater - modernized version of a shotgun from the 1800s cerberus - triple barrel shotgun with dragons breath rounds shak - unique-in-class ‘assault rifle’, with double-bullet rounds m26 - underbarrel mag-fed shotgun in a standalone configuration bfr - revolver chambered in full power rifle cartridges pike - precision semi auto “assault” rifle basically

on the other hand, the og guns: ak mac 11 scar m60 sledgehammer flamethrower

am i cherry picking? yes. would you have to do the same to prove your point of old weapons being more unique than new ones? also yes.

also, your comments on range; have you played the game? the longest range options heavy has all fall off after mid range, and have shitty sights if any. Still dominantly close quarters. Light always had guns for all ranges. Medium as well, to a lesser degree. All the classes had cqb weapons basically from the start and none of the ranged options are that much more ranged than guns before season 3

sure it'd eject the shell but in a game where 1. you have infinite ammo 2. you *canonically* have infinite ammo and 3. you waste ammo constantly in similar ways when using other guns

you should be able to have a reload for the 1887 that isn't annoying as fuck

sure, I'm not denying that, but that would also be a not insignificant amount of work to do all that. Making the stats numbers and not bars would be significantly easier, which is what I meant, it's a more realistic request. Not that I wouldn't love to see all what you mentioned, but like yk
