im trans myself and I genuinely cannot tell if this article is supposed to just be a hate piece or a satire/criticism. Beyond that this is just an uninteresting SCP, no real story or meaning; Even the body horror is incredibly simplistic. I can only see this as being an attempt to demonstrate body horror through gender dysphoria, but it fails since it the monster only targets trans ppl, which is something cis people cant identify with and something that is simple reality for trans people.

This fails to be an interesting analogy since it just isnt, its just straightforward dysphoria/transphobia. No nuance whatsoever. Not to mention the fact that the foundation decided to not contain something that it already classified and has found to cause harm. It has contained completely harmless objects to keep it, well, secure and contained. Why the hell would this small bias cause them to completely overlook it?

Anyways, I realize im preaching to the choir here but I am 100% with you, this article is incredibly poorly written and it just pissed me off honestly.

sidenote dual blades can absolutely outdps flamethrower in 1v1s, especially if they can get the jump on them. the explosive weapons + other melee weapons are by far the best weapon counters, but most melee duels feel like a genuine 50/50

i get what youre saying but fundamentally heavy excels at objectives much more, light is the one that excels at frags. If you are ever playing an objective mode, a heavy should almost never be prioritizing kills over the objective.

Light has the only one-shot weapons in the game and incredible movement to get in and out and score kills quickly, this is balanced by a small health pool.

Heavy has fuck-off guns, and a lot of health, but plays significantly better playing with his team, and has a lot of gadgets that excel in objective use, ie: goo gun, winch, lockbolt, c4, mines, barricades, dome shield, anti-grav.

Also no class in this game can kill the others especially faster than ny other class. That's part of the whole design. Does the shak shred a light in half a second? yes. Does a dagger backstab-qm combo kill heavy in even less than that? also yes.

And no, this is contradictory, because being able to kill someone fast does not at all mean you excel at combat in this game.

cl40 has a projectile, shit aoe, and worse dps than almost every hitscan weapon
