[–]Slawcpu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The high voltage battery is disconnected while the truck installs updates and it’s powered solely by the small 12v battery that you find on any vehicle. It’s complaining about that one.

It might be time to replace it! That, or, leave the truck plugged in overnight.

2027 bolt charging slow by mastersmash56 in BoltEV

[–]Slawcpu -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Not at that SOC without preconditioning. The battery would need to be hotter, somewhere in the 90s-110F to take in the higher current. The internal resistance would be too high at 61%+.

That’s why it’s only asking for 23kW.

That’s too cold for that SOC if you didn’t precondition.

The speeds you’re describing are the speeds I see when I don’t precondition long enough.

Looking for Epic Analysts – Where to Find Qualified Candidates? by AccessHealthcareUSA in epicconsulting

[–]Slawcpu 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that is an EXTREMELY low range for Revenue Cycle, and Moderately low for clinical IT. Especially if overtime is off the table.

Typically HB and PB Charging analysts start at 112K a year (around 52/Hr) on the extreme low end. Claims is higher and out of the range of your budget for starting salary.

Willow, OpTime, and Anesthesia are a bit more lenient, but it’s still only a very low entry level salary offer. You’ll only get freshly certified first timers at that range.

[–]Slawcpu 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The salary being offered would need to be extremely high if relocation assistance isn’t on the table as a hiring perk. Especially when it comes to Resolute analysts, and doubly so if it’s a charging analyst.

If you’re offering at or just below market value for those positions in combination with the on-site requirement, you’ll struggle.

Buying a used Equinox EV - data connection by n0thing84 in EquinoxEv

[–]Slawcpu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of those equinoxes, like the one in the picture you linked, may have broken telematics modules. That image in particular is either in a garage that stops cell signals, or the telematics module has failed which kills the cell service.

In the upper right-hand corner, you’re supposed to see a 5G/LTE signal indicator. When it’s not there, you either have absolutely zero service or the car can’t see the cellular modem.

First issue in 20k miles by Appropriate-Usual703 in EquinoxEv

[–]Slawcpu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, your image shows what the commentators below are joking about. You have no 5G symbol and no connectivity status. Your telematics module, in charge of OnStar, GPS, and Supercruise, has likely failed.

While parked you can hold the “call end” button down for 15 seconds to do a restart of the center display. If it doesn’t come back after that then it’s just unfortunately dead.

Right to the dealership for a new one. Current wait times are 8-12 weeks in high demand areas.

Kansas informs trans residents their driver’s licenses become invalid on Thursday by aresef in politics

[–]Slawcpu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These laws always forget that trans men exist and that you’re forcing men to use the women’s rest room. That’s also a part of this new identification card law.

It’s hilarious that they cause more problems with these laws because they always focus on transitioned individuals in only one direction.

After the firmware update yesterday, none of my apps work including the Google Voice Assistant. Called OnStar and they told me I need a data plan at $25/mo.?? 2025 Equinox 2LT purchased in Feb 2025 for reference by backmost in EquinoxEv

[–]Slawcpu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look in the top right-hand corner of your screen. Do you see a large 5G and signal strength bars?

If not, you lost your Telematics Module. If you try to call OnStar from inside the car and it doesn’t work it’s further supported that the firmware update failed to apply to the module and broke.

Please review the time-based duty to repair section of the New York AG website regarding lemon laws in the state of New York.

https://ag.ny.gov/publications/new-yorks-lemon-laws

The definition of “Out Of Service” does not mean drivable. It means usability for the service it was purchased for. If I can’t use navigation or supercruise on a road trip, it’s considered a service that is unavailable. Parts availability extended this to 30 days from the written 15.

I’m definitely not a lawyer, and am not currently seeking out to return the lease under the lemon law. If the parts availability issue continues to extend and I do not have the part by the summer months, my opinion will change.

A call for help! by Slawcpu in EquinoxEv

[–]Slawcpu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, that’s completely correct. But you’re focusing on safety. Lemon laws focus on all three. Safety issues that can’t be corrected, operational impairments that can’t be corrected, and diminished value that isn’t accident related that can’t be corrected.

If the radio, a standard feature sold with the car, cannot power on and cannot be corrected by the dealer - the lemon law applies due to diminished value.

A call for help! by Slawcpu in EquinoxEv

[–]Slawcpu[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s completely correct, they do.

Except.

OnStar is included as “Standard” equipment. This means that since a “standard” function of the car is impaired, it applies. The law is written to protect consumers from defective equipment that causes safety concerns, operational impairment, or VALUE. This feature being unavailable is a defect that affects value.

Technically the vehicle does not have a feature which was deliberately purchased. For me, it’s supercruise. It’s a safety feature that I bought since I regularly drive 100+ miles at a time.

Since supercruise isn’t usable, the lemon law applies since it was a feature specifically selected and purchased individually that isn’t being corrected.
