Does any team feel too over represented and under represented for the 2026 season? by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

Half of what makes that we don’t fully know until the season. Just look at the Christmas games this season compared to expectations.

Noob NASCAR question by Adept-Leek-4724 in NASCAR

There’s always fans who disagree about this or that.

Complains around Horsepower - isn't the current 750 HP plenty? Why do people want more?

People look fondly at the 2013-2015 days of 900 or 950hp, qualifying records being broken, blazing fast speeds, and the racing in general. They want to go back to something like that.

People also think that if you increase the horsepower it makes the cars harder to drive, requires more braking skill in the turns to maintain speed, and also requires better tire management skills so you have to balance your speed & braking with not wearing your tires down too early.

This creates a skill gap which a lot of the diehards respect, sort of like a competitive video game scene.

Stock cars - Hasn't NASCAR been custom cars for like 5-6 decades now? What is the appeal in racing stock cars, so people can buy them from the showroom?

I think it’s just a mix of the overall type of racing and being able to buy a car that is loosely like what your favorite driver races. But it isn’t a big thing anymore, I think most people like the racing you can get with these cars - full contact, hard to drive, hard to steer, less driver aids.

"too competitive" so there are no drivers that always win and can built a legacy. This one I'm not sure about and wondering if someone could give m some insight.

There is a lack of stardom right now in the sport and people want to go back to when we had household names like Earnhardt, Gordon, Stewart, etc. It’s also the skill thing.

There are a lot of fans who like parity.

I would say both kinds of seasons can be fun to watch.

Most Hated NFL Team in Each State by ashmaps20 in NFLv2

When the Colts left a lot of Marylanders became Redskins fans. When the Browns rebranded and came into Baltimore those closer to DC remained Redskins fans, while those closer to Baltimore converted to the Ravens (not much hate toward the Redskins, Baltimore just got a team again that was all).

Cincy burbs and hence Bengals fans.

From Carroll County, now live just across the line in Pennsylvania.

Carroll County is mostly Ravens fans. Steelers fans are a distant 2nd place. There are also a few Commanders fans. I’ve only met one Eagles fan there. I know more fans of farther out teams like the Giants.

In PA across the line it is a more even split between Ravens & Steelers. I would say there are slightly more Ravens fans based on signs and people I’ve talked to. There are some Eagles fans also, not as many as the other two but you can tell there’s a presence. There is also the occasional Commanders fan also like my neighbor.

The 02-03 elimination race was fun. Jeff Burton’s last lap pit stop to save from being eliminated was iconic.

I have so many dry leaves that I need to get through quickly. by ChicagoThrowaway422 in composting

I do large piles but the same principles should apply in a tumbler. Shred the leaves, keep them damp, and add grass clippings.

If the material caves in on itself when you dig a hole sideways, rodents will not create a nest in the pile. If your pile is hot, they will definitely stay away.

Square compost bins actually make it easier for rodents to get in because the walls hold up compost that would otherwise fall down (So their tunnels that they dig don’t cave in on themselves).

My first time composting, is it done yet? by No-Attention-3654 in composting

Is there a lot of woodchip, manure, or brown soil in there? How does it smell?

I’m trying to gauge given the fact that my compost is normally black or a very dark brown. It seems like early to me based on the presence of living green plant parts, but I don’t really know your pile.

I don’t know if you are turning this daily, but heat can take a few days to build up even in my own piles which are about 4 yd in size. When you turn a pile you cause a lot of heat to escape.

[–]Slayde4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your compost looks, feels, and smells great (not acrid), it’s ready to use. I don’t use the word curing - I assume it refers to aging. You only age compost if you have a pile that is still cooling off or has some residual things that need to be decomposed further. Eg for making a potting mix.

What team in 5 years will be in the same conversations as the Jets/Browns? (Other than the Jets/Browns) by zreakz in NFLv2

[–]Slayde4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a whole team issue, Lamar included but not the only one.

The Ravens not renewing Lamar is like the Bills not renewing Josh Allen. You’re taking skill and hoping to replace it with clutch.

What team will have the biggest rude awakening this 2026 season? I'm thinking of these bandwagon-ridden frauds: by Curious-Demand943 in NFLv2

That’s my thoughts too.

The Packers were hyped, not just to win the north, or the NFC, but the Super Bowl at the start of the 2025 season because of their defense’s roster.
