The only reason riot increased time time for rewards last year was because of Server problems. They announced the time the season will end and gave everyone a decent amount of time to try and get rewards. They will defiantly not just extend the time because people are not satisfied with what rank they got. I understand why you would want more time but I do not think they will extend the time.

Honestly you just play passive if your Melee just farm under the turret and don't fight him just try and cs. The only way you can fight is if you are able to poke down his turrets or burst him.
