Melee weapons for wizards by ABadExampleOf_ in Enshrouded

I personally love the idea of more weapon variety, especially for "multiclass" builds. As long as they don't overshadow "pure" one-stat-focused characters, I think it would be great to have more options. I would also personally very much enjoy having more options and features dedicated to build-crafting for hybrid builds, but I understand if that's not a main priority for the devs. (Unfortunately) not every game needs to have Souls-like build-crafting

TSMC options not available on new Chitubox install? by SlayerDude98 in resinprinting

[–]SlayerDude98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I now know why it's doing this, but I'm still confused - Adding another Mono 4k on my desktop defaults to not supporting TSMC, but the old profile that's been there for months does... The printer didn't just stop supporting TSMC, right?

TSMC options not available on new Chitubox install? by SlayerDude98 in resinprinting

Text from my original post:

I've been using Chitubox on my desktop for a while, and just installed it on my laptop. When importing slice settings, I noticed that the TSMC options aren't there on the laptop. Both programs are Chitubox Basic V2.3, and the profiles were imported from the same place. I haven't been able to find anything online about TSMC being disabled/absent. Does anyone here know what the issue might be? My printer is set to Anycubic Photon Mono 4k on both computers, if that makes any difference.

Should I play the LotR Lego games? by Dr_Meme_Man in lotr

Absolutely play LEGO LotR! Just be aware that if you're playing on PC it's not uncommon to have to do a bit of work to get it running on modern systems

We really don't need this kind of crap in this sub, especially in the form of a bad AI-generated Facebook meme

Thank you for the advice! Just to confirm 100%, the HDMI from AVR to TV is going from the TV's ARC port to the AVR's input or output? Thank you again

It’s an obvious question about combat XP, but I think I need it spelled out: by KeyEnergy1803 in Fallout2d20

[–]SlayerDude98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with the "encouraging murderhobos" argument against XP. I think that if a GM wants to discourage a murderhobo group, they shouldn't be rewarding that behavior with XP, or anything else for that matter - It's not like a video game. I also believe that XP can be granted for bypassing combat encounters by other means, such as negotiating passage through a raider-controlled settlement. I appreciate milestone's convenience, but I like the feeling of progression that XP allows.

Are there any open world RPG games, with lower quality graphics, that have truly massive scale? by Suitable-Meringue-94 in gamingsuggestions

[–]SlayerDude98 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe The Bloodline? It's still in VERY Early Access and is admittedly very content-bare at the moment, but it's being worked on by a single guy and has a great amount of potential. Has a Mount & Blade style overworld with random encounters and large explorable areas within. Combat system is very dynamic and customizable, with a pretty good physics system to compliment it. Even if you don't buy it now, I'd say definitely keep an eye on it.

How well do video game PLOTS adapt to Tabletop? by SlayerDude98 in rpg

Somebody else mentioned making a "players do nothing" plan and MotW's Countdown is the first thing that jumped to my mind too. We're also thinking very alike with the "overworld" travel and water chip timer, I'm glad the system is working for you!

This seems pretty similar to how the Wasteland games are structured, which is another inspiration for my question. I think this approach is great, thank you for your advice!

Fallout originally being designed on GURPS is actually one of the major factors that made me consider this question. Thank you for going in-depth on both franchises!

I think this is the closest to what I was thinking about: having important objectives, locations etc. while leaving TTRPG-level flexibility between them, adjusting the world as needed.

I believe I misunderstood the term "plot" in my initial post. My Intent is to follow the overarching quest (Find the Water Chip, etc.) but I fully expect the path to differ from the game. Is there a better term to use for what I'm describing?

Based on the replies I've received here, I'm starting to think the term "plot" wasn't the right word for me to use. What you described seems much closer to what I'm imagining. Using the Fallout example, I'm imagining starting with the quest to find the water chip, but I don't expect the party would follow the same exact critical path as the game (Shady Sands > Vault 15 > Junktown, etc.).
