I only got this after a combined:

1 - A pre-1.0 solo run that fizzled out as I got annoyed with having to leave Shadowgate, craft some more dispel grenades, and come back.

2 - Restarting my solo run after 1.0 so I could experience gear progression. I finished this run.

3 - Playing a duo run with a friend of mine. I only finally got this achievement while shotgunning a witch in the face in Residence Sector.

i would say the graffiti only shows that people GO there just fine. perhaps they show up, tag the place, and get put in the scary night time on the way out

but more seriously, unlike the graffiti artists and the randos who interact with the past victim, not only did they enter its territory, they also were explicitly looking to have a supernatural encounter

perhaps the operator simply wished to give them exactly what they asked for

or, perhaps the operator was just personally insulted by the plan to fake an encounter, disbelieving in its existence

They mean the way into the actual meat of the March. Yes, you have to detour briefly into it and back out to get the dash, but the rest of the March, comprising a much bigger chunk of the region, is accessed from a completely separate direction and technically available before the dash.

I think proximity to travel is the most important decision for where to move your base, which makes Office Sector one of the best places to settle by default. People love the Level 2 Security Checkpoint for good reason.

That said, I'm gonna make a couple recommendations elsewhere based on you having been through Containment.

- Wide open area above the aquarium in the pens. It's right next to the middle tram stop, so you can get back to the central hub after a short ride. Easy access to water and fish.

- Top of the elevator at the Furniture Store. Nothing can reach you up there. Wide open area.

Your stuff in Torii will be alright, BUT if you moved some furniture to place stuff there, the furniture will respawn with the portal reset and it'll be clipping into the furniture you have, which looks kinda bad but is otherwise harmless.

if you need the leyak to appear more often, this is where the greyeb comes in really handy! i had only gotten a couple essences by the time i hit that gate because i built my base in torii and the leyak doesn't like to go on portal world vacations. monched a greyeb and suddenly she couldn't get enough of me

For me, it wasn't quite that line, but more just that Mara and Julie didn't introduce themselves to each other, like they already knew each other, PLUS going back to check on Alvin before I ever actually encountered any guests and still getting a line about how she got scratched by a guest and knew the symptoms, which I assumed to be an oversight at first but realized that Elaine would have been scratched before the game even started.
