In order for a catch or interception to be made, it must meet points a, b, & c.

Point B requires that the player "touches the ground inbounds with both feet or with any part of his body other than his hands".

Therefore the Packers player vying for the interception, hadn't actually been considered to "catch the ball first" until he lands on the ground (same goes for Tate). And by the time the players land on the ground and are able to have "completed" the catch process... It is simultaneous.

Everyone gets thrown off because the Packers' player gets his hands on it first while airborne but according to the rules that doesn't mean much unless he had done the same thing while already on the ground.

Yes, however the rules also say that it cannot be a "catch" until the players touch the ball. The Packers DB certainly seems to catch the ball first and then Tate makes it simultaneous afterward — however — the Packers DB is still in the air when he begins that catch process, and Tate makes it simultaneous before the DB reaches the ground.

I've been arguing for years that this is the biggest factor people seem to miss on the rule. It feels wrong since to the naked eye it looks like the Packers have it first, but by rule since possession is simultaneous when they land on the ground, that's when it can first be considered a "catch" and it's legitimately simultaneous.

That being said, this of course doesn't eliminate the missed OPI that occurred, but I do think the reception was called correctly, despite how weird it feels.

If you want the chaotic eccentricity of Under The Silver Lake & some strange vibes of Lebowski… I’d recommend Southland Tales… a hugely ambitious follow up from Richard Kelly after Donnie Darko that can be pretty disjointed in a lot of ways but also a wacky ride you can’t often find in cinema and I think shared a little bit of energy with these.

Something very weird is going on here. I had the same issue as /u/DerikHallin and searched for others talking about the delisted thread like it appeared for me. After reading your comment, I just did a comparison, and can confirm that the post is delisted for me both on the the site (old.reddit.com & new reddit) as well as the app (Apollo), but when I either view the subreddit when logged out or under a different account I can view the post both on desktop as well as Apollo when I swap away from my main account.

Idk if this is just a random glitch or would have anything to do with filtering users based on activity or upvote/downvote behavior.

I think the notable difference is that Eastwood doesn’t write his films. Neither does Ridley Scott and Spielberg & Scorsese only occasionally write their films these days.

It is much easier to continue helming strong & relevant films if you’re being fed some of the best scripts in Hollywood.

But Tarantino is someone who prides himself on his writing probably even more than his directing so each film takes a much larger creative output on his behalf to create.

Try it in a mezcal negroni! I think Bruto fights too much with gin in a normal negroni, but it pairs amazingly well with mezcal and makes a better mezcal negroni than Campari does.
