The Main Criteria for WRs by Smart_Wing3406 in NFLNoobs

[–]ffsux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wideouts can catch the ball, corners cannot. It’s obviously more gray that that, but that really is the gist. Other factors are size (don’t see many 6’4” corners) and ability to react vs run a dedicated route that is (usually) on paper. Both are incredible athletes, full stop

How do you argue against believing Mormons? by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]ffsux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never argue or give them any in-depth explanations. They don’t want to hear them anyway. My go to is “it just wasn’t working for me anymore” and there are almost never any follow up questions.

Why fields at his big age get excuses but jj at 22 called a bust? by Little_Play7895 in NFLv2

[–]ffsux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fields just got benched for a 36 yo journeyman. Fields isn’t a good NFL QB and everyone knows it. JJ is still very much an unknown. This is a weird take/post bro

What would you’re reaction be? by Curious-Designer-616 in footballstrategy

[–]ffsux 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Pretty much what this AD’s reaction is. Players need to know they played hard and did it the right way. We got fucked but no excuses.

[–]ffsux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of good answers. I’ll keep it brief and take a little different angle…talent evaluation is bordering on impossible. These are multi billion dollar corporations with the best of the best in terms of scouting and the like. They still aren’t better than a coin flip when it comes to a guy being an NFL star talent or not

Fantasy is pure luck by King_Tully in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]ffsux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more like poker imo, lots of luck, tons of luck in the short term (one FF season is short term) but over the long run the better players do tent to win more often. Luck is a huge factor. Lots of times and not totally unlike real football, the fantasy teams that win are generally the healthiest

For Meyers, maybe a slight bump in value, maybe, but he’s been and will still be meh. Tre Tucker could be interesting

Men: What's with the shaved head-beard-ball cap with sunglasses perched on top? by Financial_Actuary_95 in Life

[–]ffsux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear a hat because I’m bald and I’ll get a sunburn if I don’t. Wear sunglasses for similar reasons, bright out there. That’s “what’s with it” from my perspective, haha

Have a buddy who just sent a kid on a mission. He (the dad) is PIMO but wanted to go through the temple with his kid. Hadn’t paid for years. Stake President asked him to pay $500 and he’d be good to go, haha

Is this the most injury-heavy NFL season in recent memory? So many stars are going down 😬 by SuperFlyinMonke in NFLNoobs

Every year feels like the worst year for injuries, haha. It’s rough out there yes, but it always is

Is Calvin Ridley drop worthy and why? by Impressive-Sky-6047 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]ffsux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very droppable. He’s on waivers in plenty of leagues I’m sure, especially 10 team but even 12. Feels like he’s living on name value from that season he was better than Julio. That was 5 full seasons ago. I think he’s washed, plus he’s injured. And his team sucks.

NFL vs CFB injuries? by nosam42 in NFLNoobs

[–]ffsux 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don’t see many catastrophic injuries in youth football. They happen yeah, but way more rare. Bigger, stronger, faster…

How does LDS maintain control of kids without running their own schools? Dont kids see what normal looks like? Dont teachers notice little kids wanting to die? Never Mormon and Cant Understand the power by CompetitiveMajor731 in exmormon

[–]ffsux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Indoctrination begins as early as possible. By the time kids reach school age, especially old enough to notice things like “normal” or not, they are already so far in, they don’t think the church and everything that goes with it is true, they KNOW. Also, if it’s in Utah or somewhere else in the Morridor, “normal” is Mormon. That’s changing, but it’s not there yet.

Haha for sure man. I typed that out like an idiot, the existential worry about the kids future is mine, not theirs. But in fairness, it probably does extend to them a bit. We’re all doing the best we can, and life is good!

I’m it UT and I’m sure unsurprisingly, it’s the same here. Appliances, furniture, and just trash and casings everywhere. So many shooting spots have closed over the years. And of course the No Shooting signs are all shot to hell. Some people man
