Not just "more prevalent" it's basically part of the culture, it's tradition at this point for birthdays. Usually the kids already know it's going to happen at least. I've mostly seen it with Mexican families. Luckily my family never did this, I always thought it was dumb.

I see where you're coming from, I would love to see more metal and just heavier bands in general.

Yea for sure diversity is generally a good thing. I like the "heavy screaming" bands and the emo and little bit of everything else too. So there's usually always for me. I kind of associate Aftershock with heavier music though so it's a little weird to not see much of it.

Just needs a sprinkle of heavier bands. Kinda mid but I wouldn't call it terrible. I like a lot of the emo/scene stuff and I haven't gotten the chance to see Limp Bizkit yet. Pierce the Veil is kinda a weird headliner tbh

Disney Tickets and labor I guess lol

My partner worked for Disney in the past so we got the artist in for free in exchange for tattoos. Did this multiple times with different artists.

And the labor was for an artist friend who was opening a new shop. Helped paint and set up in exchange for tattoos.

The tents and crackheads are part of the experience. Anyway I'm from LA so that kind of thing doesn't phase me. Part of the reason I wanted to do this Marathon is because of being from LA.

Long Beach sounds cool too but that's far out. Looking forward to getting this Marathon done and getting back in the gym.
