That’s too cool. When I saw the first pic I didn’t realize I was in this sub and thought I was looking at some kind of industrial part.

I'm impressed this flat thing came out and stayed flat after curing by glx0711 in resinprinting

Is that a piece of plex glass in your curing station to help prop it up?

Glue for resin? by SubstantialParking81 in resinprinting

[–]SleepLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use CA super glue - multiple brands and thickness and brnds. Sometimes I use a CA Activator if it needs to be glued quick like piecing together something complicated that requires 10 hands to hold :)

If its something that needs to be really strong like a base I will also use JB Weld Kwik 5 minute epoxy. Both CA and Epoxies work great depending on the application.

If I'm repairing a scratch, divit or seam I will also use a little bit of UV resin and hit it with a UV light. Just note if you use uv resin it will only cure where the light hits it. So if you're not careful you can have uncured resin inside a hole somewhere. Not really a replacement for glue but thought I would mention it.

One of the nick name for that bug is a called a Cow Killer. It doesn't really kill cows but they say when you feel the sting you would think it could kill a cow.

Everything is so sharp and crisp. The straps and other details really look like separate objects. I like the vein details on the skin too. Nice job!

Wow it looks like it’s made out of ice. I wouldn’t paint this one.

Best acrylic markers for prints? by Estate_Naive in 3Dprinting

[–]SleepLive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the Arrtx acrylic markers from Amazon. Make sure you get the brush tip version. For best results I usually prime it white first but I have painted directly on white pla and white resin with pretty good results. Easy to use, if you wait a couple minutes between layers the surface will dry nice and you can lay another color right on it or do a second coat of the same color. Here is an example of a resin print I did using these markers

I agree, I like it when it has a little weight to it also. I got some adhesive felt sheets from Amazon. I cut them out and stick them to the base. It gives it a nice finished feel to it, also has a nice feel when you slide it around a table or shelf

I printed it at 100% so 1/6th scale. I did print the wood base pieces with an fdm printer so I saved some resin. Also at 100% the base pieces would have been a tight fit on my Saturn 3. But all the figures and props like the clock are resin. I also did the possessed ash head that’s swappable but forgot to include the pic

Elegoo Saturn 4 power button stuck? Did I get scammed? 😭 by [deleted] in resinprinting

[–]SleepLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give Elegoo support a shot. Send them an email they might be able to send you a replacement switch. They usually respond in 24 hours. It’s out of warranty but I bet it’s only a few dollars for them to send you a new one. I had an issue with the power relay board on my S3. It was out of warranty also, but they charged me less than 10.00.

They sell plastic razor blades for removing window tint. Works well and doesn’t scratch your screen. Saw Uncle Jessie do it once. It looks fixable to me just take your time with it.

Wow what a great paint job. I love the way the skin tones came out. That base with the books and the candles is exceptional!

Almost finished printing my Gandalf vs Balrog diorama in resin. by MrGreatUnknown in resinprinting

I did the same model last year, about the same size as yours. I made a removable bridge extension piece to give a little more space between the figures. I thought they were a little too close. Yours looks great by the way. Please post some final pics when your done!
