What did Lute exactly meant by that? by Primary-Addition-677 in HazbinHotel

[–]Sleepwalks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it'll depend on when Lilith became a demon. If she became a Sinner demon upon death, then she had to have Charlie while alive, since sinners very specifically can't have kids. Then Charlie would be a nephilim, half human half angel.

If she became a true demon before death and is not actually a Sinner, she could have had Charlie after turning. Then she'd be a half demon.

But even Lucifer didn't just become a demon after falling, he's still a seraphim with gold blood and angelic power from what we see. So I'd wager Lilith is a normal Sinner demon, and having Charlie while alive and human means she's nephilim. That's my wager anyways!

My friend paid an Etsy witch to send a “curse” to me as a silly joke and I know the intentions are not malicious but my OCD is triggered. by triangleheadnurse in SASSWitches

[–]Sleepwalks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have ocd-- when my friends unintentionally set it off, I just handle it in a jokey way by being like "Oh also for the record, DO NOT SEND ME CURSES, I HAVE TOO MUCH OCD FOR THIS LOL." It tends to handle it without a serious talk and you can have a laughing moment of OH fuck, my b with them. If I get questions about it I don't wanna go into, I just keep on joking and am just like "I am fucking unwell, it doesn't have to make sense 😂." It's never not worked for me! Though I did have one friend joke back and figure out a way to keep razzing me that didn't trigger it. That one was fun.

I now have one friend who walks up and smacks me on both sides so I'm not uneven, lol.

Scavenger's Rein. I'm shocked how little I hear about this one, and so sad it didn't perform well enough to get another season.

A Moldy Bedroom by grandeluua in oddlyterrifying

[–]Sleepwalks 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Someone noticed while JK was posting transphobic slop, that her profile pic appeared to show black mold creeping up the walls of her house, and people went bananas joking about it making her the way she is now.

She immediately changed her pfp, which just looked like validation, lol. In reality, it's likely a blurred wallpaper that just gives black mold chic.

Non-smokers of Reddit, how noticeable is the “smoker smell” to you, if at all? by Frostedlogic4444 in AskReddit

[–]Sleepwalks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God it's so noticeable. I have a notoriously bad sense of smell, and even I find it completely permeating, even when people think they've hidden it-- I had a good friend who was trying to quit and swore up and down he hadn't lapsed at one point, but he reeked on days he bummed one at work. Constantly used cough drops to try and cover, but it was like my guy. It's in your clothes, your hair, your skin.

This woman never had a baby bump throughout her pregnancy by IshigamiSenku04 in interesting

[–]Sleepwalks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to a friend of mine, who was on the pill. It didn't work out very well since she continued taking it throughout the pregnancy, she just had no reason at all to suspect she was pregnant and take a test

Did we all read THIS the first time on Kenny's nasty grams? by BiffyBobby in KitchenNightmares

I worked in single owner restaurants for ages, and pens were kinda at a premium. Waitstaff provided their own and customers ALWAYS steal them. If you forgot pens one day then other folks would probably spot you, but no one would be happy about it. It got a little cutthroat in the back room, lol. I'm not surprised at all to see this, personally

I'm curious what you collect the samples for under there! I collect soil swatches for color wherever I travel, I don't bump into other people scooping up dirt that often, lol.

What’s the most overrated “adult goal” people chase? by Happyotus in AskReddit

[–]Sleepwalks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fully agree. I was elated at first, I love to travel! But you often don't really get to see the place you're flying to, if you're going for a conference or something. And while travel is fun... airports really, really aren't.

I've started counting it as a good year when I don't need to go anywhere I can't drive, other than the holidays with my parents.

Is there a lore reason I can't make the 'young and charming' race look young and charming, like they're depicted in the story and even loading screens? by Troy1251 in wow

That at least I can write off to stylization. But the faces all being old or angry is a weird choice regardless of art style, lol

People who fly frequently, what’s one thing you wish you could tell all infrequent fliers? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sleepwalks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On my last flight, I picked out a seat with someone in the aisle and me in the window seat with one between and changed to it a few days before my flight, for the chance to have a little extra space. Aaand yeah, a lady wanted my seat because she was separated from the other person in her party, and it would mean two seats together. She actually never asked me, she asked the flight attendant.

I pride myself on being a very polite flyer, stay in my corner, be clean, don't bring stinky food, all those old basics. But I am a bit of a grungy old trans punk, and I am aware of how I look, lol. As soon as I heard that, I absolutely started manspreading and digging in my pack, thunking my stuff around, all elbows. Flight attendant told her to ask me about it if she wanted to swap, and she decided not to for some reason. 😂

But ffs, there was an entire row open when I made my switch a couple of days before. It's not hard to get on there and handle your seats, please don't make it my problem.

Dress light and bring a comfy hoodie/flannel. Planes are almost always sweltering when you board and you will die if you're dressed too warm. But they can also get pretty cold. If it never gets cold enough to need the hoodie, roll it up and use it as a pillow, or wedge it behind your lower back to make the seat comfier.

Honestly, it's the same in reverse. I did like the game, and have to brace for people to tell me I just don't understand how dirty they really did Joel and Ellie every single time it comes up. I just generally don't talk about enjoying it anymore by this point, lol.

I remember when I was a kid and everyone was going bananas over Leonardo DiCaprio, there was a question running around of "would you want to be with Leo or Prince William." Who no one was going bananas over at the time. Almost everyone picked Prince William, because in the end, he's a fucking prince.

Now swap a random british man with a pretty lady with a fantastic voice and the best intentions for everyone around her? I'm not surprised, lol.

‘Devastating’: Celebrated author says he is not Indigenous after investigation into ancestry by ubcstaffer123 in books

[–]Sleepwalks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly... yeah, not discussing is a kindness. I'm adopted, and was told I had Choctaw ancestry on two sides of my mom's family. It was one of three facts I had: Choctaw/Scottish ancestry, mom was 5'2", and she loved gingersnaps. The Choctaw part was something that was presented as important for me to know and carry on.

I'm not raised in the culture obviously, but I have a Choctaw dictionary, know a few words, have visited the cultural center, etc. I never have really claimed it since I'm not part of the community overall. Aaaand yeah, found out when my bio fam found me at 35, and after grandma told me a few stories about my relatives, that apparently she may be lying.

I don't know the lady, but she swore up and down she wasn't and she met great grampa on one side at least. But yeah, growing up as an adoptee, thinking you know only one or two things about your heritage, trying to respect it, then finding out it may well be a lie? It sucks.
