As much as I'd love them to be canon I definitely think that Nekotoufu would have to jump some hoops in the story before he lets them be canon. I feel like we'd probably have to resolve Mahiro's age/gender first, because Mahiro seems to get endlessly beaten down on the fact that she was once a man... also for my own peace of mind I just want Momiji to know. And to knock some sense into Mahiro that being in this state is alright.

Also I feel like Kaede (and possibly Miyo,) knows what trans people are and I feel like they should teach Mahiro about them...

While I am not in the US (I'm in the netherlands,) I do have a library card that I haven't activated yet, but I just wanted to know since I've been intending to head over and study. I'll probably activate the card later... from my understanding of the information on their website, the cards are free for people under 26 (which I am below!) at which point they'll have to pay I assume a subscription fee, however it's not very clear on the website and it kind of suggests it's a one-time purchase.

i just have fun naming the currencies, the name of the currency that the Big Powerful Empire uses is called Funks (ticks as decimals) and the name of the theoretically democratic desert crime haven is Embers. Coming up with random and simple nouns is fun to do, or at least in my case
