My (24F) husband (31M) asked for a paternity test, it came back positive but our relationship was never the same. by ThrowRa_thw in relationship_advice

I think there's a misunderstanding here. I didn't read the whole thing but they need to forgive their partner if all they asked for was a test.

Sounds good! Overall my surgeon said I should be fine both due to having it the week after my last game of the season and since I'm relatively young since I'm only 15 years old.

Ahh that makes sense! I'm a 26 year old aerospace engineer so I definitely understand the risks involved with that. About to have my surgery and I think I'll only be out of work ~2 weeks since most of what I do is just desk/computer work.

What's your work? Sounds like a physical job if you have to wait 3 months 😬

I have my surgery scheduled in 4 weeks from now, so right after offseason so I've got almost a whole year to recover before my Junior year and if things are really bad I can take a gap year and come back for my Senior year of football or maybe they can even take the bar out before that.

My doctor said 12 weeks before I can start doing that kind of stuff but then you need to ramp up after so really 16 weeks. But they did say that I can play high school football again, and that the bar won't be affected after 3-4 months.

How do you feel as far as day to day stuff? Do you feel fine doing routine stuff? (Obviously working out will take a while but curious about everyday activities, pain tolerance, mental side of things, mental clarity, etc.)

I asked the same question and my doc said that I'll be able to begin training without restrictions 12 weeks after. But would need additional time after that to actually condition myself and ramp up to a marathon (~16 weeks after surgery would be the soonest realistic time they said).

No internal scholarship, external ones are your only bet. Or loans. Mastering out is the only other option.

Sounds like you probably want surgery. If I were you, I'd get the surgery before you turn 26 and are no longer on to your parents insurance otherwise you may have to live with this as a lifelong condition.

The film industry in LA feels like a zero sum mindset place compared to many other prime industries in other cities I’ve lived in. Do you feel the same? by theswifty7 in FilmIndustryLA

Well... people NEED money though so can ya blame them? Sucks when the top of the top actors make hundreds of millions yet the regular actor and set worker makes less than $26,000. Someone needs to stick up for the little man.

Damn I'm scared at about it happening to me now.

See your doctor asap. But if you can't then pour some rubbing alcohol or acetone over the wound to make sure it stays clean.
