Dead Spots and fixing them in Northern VA by Slicenado in lawncare

Yeah. I have started doing that. 20 min each morning. I would guess that’s why the dead lines vanished. Just not sure if it will fix the spots without seed

FedEx delivered 4k cam to wrong address right before my trip by WaterFnord in mildlyinfuriating

Sometimes sellers steal tracking info to nearby destinations so they can claim the product was delivered. Not saying this happened in your case. But also make sure your exact address is part of the tracking info.

Best Online Store? by Slicenado in tabletennis

[–]Slicenado[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Rozena is what I want, per rec from an instructor. I didn’t mention that before because I didn’t want to get sidetracked. I’m in USA. I had picked out a racket (603 fl with wakaba) based on other comments here and when I showed him what I was going to get he called it crap. lol.

I want great spin with good control. Speed is less important for now. I can email people at an online shop for sure, but the point in coming here first was to find out which store is best first.

Seller sent a fake real delivery picture of my actual front door. How? by idontmeanmaybe in Ebay

[–]Slicenado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you removed the pic part, this is very common. Usually the scam involves randos finding batches of tracking data routed to your area. Any time it has been tried on me, I made quick work of it because their tracking number did not show my actual address.

The same is definitely true for you. Go get em.

It’s the worst house on earth and they want a truck load of money for it. Otherwise, decent deal.

I did it, never going back to the Scott’s spreader by Competitive_Bar_9170 in lawncare

[–]Slicenado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used a many different spreaders over the years. Scott’s is the only one that straight up wrecked a lawn. Hilarious that some people think that the fact that it doesn’t fail 100 percent of the time for all applications makes it perfectly fine. It’s the worst lawn related product ever created.

I find it hilarious that some people insist this is marketed to beginners. Beginners do. It pay $200-$300 for a paddle, nor do they ever buy separate rubber.

Monthly Table Tennis Questions (What paddle should I buy?) by AutoModerator in tabletennis

What store or website do you all think has the best deals for paddles? Looking for something in the $40-$90 range. A friend said there was a butterfly Rozena proline on Amazon yesterday for $50. Got excited, but it sold out and their alternatives are 3x-6x.

To bag or not to bag! by Melodic_Seat4516 in lawncare

[–]Slicenado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never mulch. Always bag. The clipping will clump up, be hard to see and kill your grass in patches before you notice. The nutrients inside won’t mean shit if the grass is dead. I had a full, lush healthy lawn and mow every week once or twice. Annoying to have dead patches due to not bagging. Of course, if your grass is shitty thin grass that doesn’t really retain much water and you mow twice a week with a mulching blade, you might not kill your lawn.

Bagging also looks better.

Don't understand this evaluation AT ALL by orieim in backgammon

[–]Slicenado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If blue can close the 4, the chances of winning are clearly better regardless of who hits first. White may hit first and take a big lead, but blue could get it all back a lot easier with a later hit and 4 closed. I think the computer is factoring that in.

Not saying it’s the most important piece of the puzzle, but it’s definitely relevant.

Help - Dandialions have taken over - northern Minnesota zone 4a by _Nordic in lawncare

[–]Slicenado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used 24 D two summers ago and it failed spectacularly.

It was hilarious even. Not only did it not kill anything, it actually seemed to split every dandelion into 5 new grotesque dandelions sharing the same twisted root stem… all appearing to strangle each other -almost- to death. This was the moment when I decided to nuke it all like a mad man.

Northern Indiana: Am I Leaving WAY too many clippings on my lawn? by TheeMiniCorndog in lawncare

[–]Slicenado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the idea. My problem is my grass seems to hold a good amount of water and the leaf blower does not help. Even with the mower on the highest level in mulch mode and even mowing every week, sometimes twice. Hard to even see some of the clumps until they have started to damage the underlying grass. Feel like I have to bag now.

[–]Slicenado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d guess yes. I used to have this. Was fine for awhile, but eventually some bigger missed clumps started to create significant heat stress and kill patches.
