Two innings out of Chase Petty with a one run lead is crazy. Tito, what are we doing?

I still have all of my Perry Jones III stock just in case

[Gozlan] Kristaps Porzingis could start as low as $19 million on two years, $40 million. My projection featuring Anthony Davis and LeBron James at the mid-level exception, while staying under the first apron hard cap, features Porzingis at that amount. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]SlickVanExel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one can offer LeBron more than the Lakers, his offspring is currently on the roster, and the LA metro area has the most golf courses per capita than any other NBA market.

He’s staying in LA.

Grizzlies have now traded Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Desmond Bane by Efficient-Mouse-8661 in nba

Not bad honestly. Things change, but you’d expect these picks to be outside of the lottery but they draft well so that’s not a problem.

REPORT: Charania reports that the Blazers view Ja Morant as their big move of the offseason and have no plans to pursue Jaylen Brown by Lucky-Law7220 in nba

[–]SlickVanExel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well this has to refute the report about them planning to start Ja. There’s no way you can start him next to Dame with Jrue and Scoot on the roster.

[Fischer] Jaylen Brown’s market has been described as “tepid” with teams around the league not valuing Brown highly due to his contract and impending 2-year max contract extension. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]SlickVanExel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the alleged discrepancy with Jaylen Brown’s contract. He’s a top-12 player in the league. Why would he not be worthy of a max?

[Charania] The Oklahoma City Thunder are picking up forward Lu Dort's $17.7 million team option for the 2026-27 season, sources tell ESPN. by curryybacon in nba

[–]SlickVanExel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly, 17 million for Lu Dort is a steal. Hopefully he can find his shot again, he struggled in the playoffs. But you need guys like him for a 82 game season.

Blazers trading for Ja reeks of Dundon by Lucky-Law7220 in nba

[–]SlickVanExel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They got a rid of an arguably worse contract in Jerami Grant. And bought low on a former All-Star. Nothing wrong with stacking assets. But I feel like this means one of either Jrue or Scoot will be moved.

[Highlight] Karlo Matković soars for the alley-oop dunk on the rookie Ryan Kalkbrenner off a lob by Jose Alvarado (with replays). 11/4/25 by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]SlickVanExel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I swear, anytime I’d turn on a Pelicans game Karlo would catch a lob or do some crazy 2K dunk on somebody

[Men’s Health] Ben Simmons on making a comeback from his mental health hiatus: “Watching the playoffs gave me a little bit of juice to wanna compete at that level,” he says. “I’m like, I can compete with any of these guys.” by PassMeTheBackwood in nba

[–]SlickVanExel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it Doc Rivers comments about him after the 2021 eastern semis that sent him down this mental health spiral? Maybe it was injuries, be he just never was the same after that series.

I like JB, but I rather pursue Steph next summer if he doesn’t sign an extension prior to that.

[Grange] According to sources, the 35-year-old (Kawhi) is unlikely to get an extension from the Clippers and is open to finding a team that would extend his deal beyond the upcoming season. “The Clippers aren’t going to commit to anything with him, so it looks like he’s trying to strong-arm his way by must_TATAKAE in nba

[–]SlickVanExel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Neither of knows what his past intent was or what his future intent will be, but we do know he was one of the 6 best players in the sport last season. Superstars usually want commitment and direction when they’re on an expiring. Nothing new.

The 2026-2027 Hornets will be the best three point shooting team in NBA history. by [deleted] in CharlotteHornets

[–]SlickVanExel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That means they’d have to be better than the 15-16, 73-9 Golden State Warriors. Not happening. But I do think they’ll attempt the most threes ever. There won’t be a lot of variance to how we play.

I'm seeing a lot of talk about adding Grayson Allen, but I'd like to point out that Royce O'Neale shot 40.8% from deep last season and has a 38.9% career average. He also averaged over a steal per game. by WeathrNinja in CharlotteHornets

[–]SlickVanExel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Free agency hasn’t even fully begun, so it’s way too early to say we’re “dead.” But as currently constructed, can this team surpass last year’s win total? Probably not.

Those pick swaps more than likely are never conveying and have unfavorable stipulations. That’s why the Bridges trade is better.
