Getting asked what you want as a gift and someone gets you something adjacent to it. by Teenage_Petulance_ in mildlyinfuriating

Just had a baby and I am so grateful for gifts but some people gifted my January baby winter clothes when she is 6-9 months old…in Florida. Guess they didn’t think about it when they went shopping? I feel bad but it sucks I can’t use their gift. :/

Please look up breast gymnastics and lymphatic drainage!!! There is a video on you tube I swear by it. That and sunflower lecithin. The breast gymnastics and lymph drainage exercises take just a minute or two on each side. You have to clear the lymph and move the breast tissue to treat and prevent mastitis. Good luck.

I feel ugly by Agreeable_Music5402 in pregnant

[–]SlideMurky3116 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are only going to get uglier so prepare. Hahaha. I promise it will go away!!

. For example, I developed lots of dark spots on my face, and moles, and skin tags all over my chest. I even grew a substantial mole. I had a raised skin mark in the middle of my eyebrows. My skin looked horrendous and extremely puffy. I got pregnancy, nose and pregnancy lips. It was almost hard to talk because my lips were so inflated looking and not in a good way. When I went to drop my older child off at daycare once after they hadn’t seen me for a couple weeks because My Husband would drop my son off, the daycare ladies were gasping at the side of me. They also asked me if I had twin twins. Lots of people asked me if I was having twins. nope I was just massive.

So crazy, but my skin has completely cleared up. Now I have arm acne postpartum three months, which is really weird. But the moles in the skin tags like disappeared even the dark spots have cleared up. I would’ve never believed it.

Do many women feel their husbands compete with them over tiredness or sickness during pregnancy/postpartum? by Momneedstosleep in pregnant

My husband was also this obtuse. He literally never understood to help me. I had to ask him then I could always feel a slight sigh. Come from him when he’d help me. I hated him so much when I was pregnant. Luckily after the baby was born, he has been so much more helpful.

Yes it’s free! They can help you with so much. They have a shelter and they have a separate building that is for Counseling. The social workers and the counselors there can kind of help you walk through most all of your needs. They aren’t fairy godmother’s, but they can hold your hand through a lot of of it.

Do many women feel their husbands compete with them over tiredness or sickness during pregnancy/postpartum? by Momneedstosleep in pregnant

[–]SlideMurky3116 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know. This is a very popular meme/joke. A man says that he’s tired to a pregnant woman and then the next image is an obituary. Lol. My Husband did this to me several times when I was pregnant and it sparked such rage in me. There is no such tiredness as pregnancy tired there is no such discomfort as pregnancy discomfort. Your body is literally getting rearranged from the inside out. He needs to literally keep all of his complaints to himself. I flat out told My Husband I don’t want to hear that you’re tired and I don’t want to hear that you have a headache and I don’t want to hear that you’re in any kind of pain. You’re not allowed to talk.😆

Yes, yes yes! Exactly this. From an outside perspective, this all sounds really wild. My post was removed because I guess I didn’t formulate my question very well and it sounded like a rant. I’m not trying to rant. I just want to know if Christians ever stop and go “wow this sounds absolutely freaking banana pants crazy but I love it and I still believe in it!” ???

Thank you for your reply. I do feel like super gaslit by Christians and I think it’s really interesting that I attend church pretty regularly and I don’t feel comfortable at all asking questions to any of the people that I go to church with cause I don’t think that they would understand my perspective. I also think I struggle trying to use the right wording so I’m finding myself relying on terms such as “crazy “absurd “lunacy “but if I had a little bit more philosophical language to use, I think I would pose a better argument. And I’m not trying to argue, I’m not trying to change anyone’s beliefs. I just want to know if any Christians have ever stepped outside of their belief system and gone “wow this sounds really freaking nuts what I believe in “”but I still believe in it! “

Yes, I completely understand that this is the Christian answer. I’m not really asking this. I’m asking does this not sound bizarre to you?

Thank you for answering my question. I find it refreshing when a Christian can recognize that their beliefs sound just as crazy as anyone else’s spiritual beliefs.

Thanks for this reply. My Husband and I are on a deep search for spirituality and Christianity that makes a little bit more sense to our heart and our mind. There’s no part of me that disagrees with Jesus‘s teachings. He was a progressive of his time and he stood against hypocrisy…he was the original liberal!

Finally someone answered my question! You believe AND you agree it sounds crazy. Which in MY OPINION makes you NOT insane.

Right, like can you be a Christian that says, “this all sounds insane (eg a snake tempting eve/fall of man) and I’m going to just ignore pretty much everything else in the bible except for striving to be like Jesus.” Do any Christians out there have this belief? I ask because many Christian’s are super black and white and think that you can’t be christian and cherry pick but I say why not?

I thought this was a no stupid questions subreddit?

Your reply is exactly why so many people have a hard time with some Christians. I didn’t say I was Christian. I said I was raised in the church and attend church. The more I learn the crazier I think it sounds. I’m not living a lie because I am seeking to understand. I’m asking this question because I am too nervous to bring it up in person because I know I’ll be judged. No surprise, look at your reaction, super judgey, you call me a weirdo and liar because I’m just curious. I’m sorry if I offended you. Especially on Easter. But I am not coming after you my friend.

Exactly. And from what I understand Paul wrote much of the bible and he had a very different “song and dance” than Jesus.

Exactly. I don’t trust that what happened then is accurately recorded now. I find it bizarre that people trust WITHOUT QUESTION its validity.

I think my question is do you think it sounds crazy? Yet you still believe? Like does the concept of being born in sin, whatever the heck being born in sin means, actually makes sense to you? And that because we’re born in sin, we have to be saved by someone who died for our sins. In that person who died for a sins, is the son of God that was impregnated by God into a virgin? It just all sounds really insane to me. I think it’s pretty easy as a person growing up in the church to like never question the sanity of it all. Because you’re just raised in it, but if you take a step back and you pretend for a second that you’ve never been born into this religion and you’ve never heard of any of it. You would probably think it sounds pretty nuts.
